The Horicon varsity volleyball team picked up a road sweep Tuesday, Sept. 29, defeating Wayland Academy 3-0.
The Marshladies controlled the match from the start, taking the opening set 25-18. Horicon continued to pull away with a 25-11 win in the second before completing the sweep 25-15 in the third.
The victory improved Horicon’s season record to 9-10, while Wayland Academy fell to 2-17.
Horicon travels to Lourdes Academy (18-12,2-3) for conference play on Tuesday, Oct. 6, with the match taking place after this week’s print deadline. The Marshladies then travel to Randolph (14-14) on Thursday, Oct. 8, for a 7:15 p.m. match.
