Florence C. “Flo” Glamann

  Florence C. “Flo” Glamann (Mueller), 98, of Mayville was called home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2023, at Crossroads Care Center in Mayville surrounded by her loving family.   Flo was born on October 4, 1924, in Iron Ridge to Herman and Elsie Mueller (Wolters).   On March 21, 1942, she was united in marriage to Vernon C. Glamann at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Iron Ridge.   Flo retired from Tab Products in Mayville.   She enjoyed baking and sharing her treats with everyone. Flo was an avid Sheepshead player and spent many evenings at card parties with friends. Most of all, she loved spending time with family.    Those Flo leaves behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sharon Wild of Mayville; daughter-in-law, Suzanne Glamann of Lake Wales, FL; three grandchildren, Tricia Wild of Mayville, John (Kathie) Wild of Mayville, and Faith Glamann of Lake Wales, FL; two great-grandchildren, Landen Wild and Abby Glamann; and brother-in-law, Marvin Glamann of West Bend. Flo is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.    In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Glamann; two infant daughters, Cindy and Susanne; son, Dr. John Glamann; son-in-law, Gene Wild; four siblings, Marion (Lester) Gnerlich, Roland (Joan) Mueller, Wilbert (Angie) Mueller, and Merlin Mueller; four sisters-in-law, Viola (John) James, Ruth (Ardell) Schmidt, Bernice (Elmer) Bunkoske, and Pearl (Richard) Schulz; and brothers-in-law, Don Glamann and Palmer Glamann (infant).    A Private Family Service will be held.    The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Crossroad Care Center in Mayville and Generations Hospice for their care and compassion.   Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Flo’s arrangements. Leola Viola Elsa (Budahn) Christian

Leola Viola Elsa (Budahn) Christian

   Leola passed away qui­etly on Sep­tem­ber 16, 2023, at age 92 after a full life.   Leola was born at home in Theresa on April 19, 1931, to Al­fons and Mar­cella (Schrab) Bu­dahn. She was bap­tized on May 10, 1931, and con­firmed on April 2, 1944, at Trin­ity Lutheran Church, Hart­ford.   Leola was mar­ried to Darvin Chris­t­ian on March 18, 1950, at Trin­ity Lutheran Church in Hart­ford.   Leola and Darvin have three daugh­ters, Susan Wem­mert (Gary) of Bai­leys Har­bor, Bon­nie Ur­diales (Tom) of Sun Prairie, and Carol Lon­dre (Jon) of Racine.   Leola and Darvin moved from Theresa to Racine in the early 1950s. They were long-time mem­bers of Saint John’s Lutheran Church of Racine. At the church, Leola spent many hours with the sewing group, mak­ing quilts for Lutheran World Re­lief. She also par­tic­i­pated and sup­ported the Saint John’s Mis­sion Guild and the Lutheran Girl Pi­o­neers as a group leader. Leola and Darvin, 'The Tomato Man', al­ways planted huge veg­etable and flower gar­dens, but Leola did most of the can­ning and pre­serv­ing of the gar­den fruits and veg­eta­bles, using old fam­ily recipes. Leola was a long time em­ployee and a re­tiree of Sears and Roe­buck in Racine, where she spe­cial­ized in sell­ing fur­ni­ture and sewing ma­chines.   Leola used her sewing skills to make many of her daugh­ters' out­fits. She was a found­ing mem­ber and trea­surer of the Pheas­ants For­ever Chap­ter of Racine. She also was a mem­ber of the Racine County Con­ser­va­tion League. Leola and Darvin loved to travel and camp. They trav­eled all over the United States, in­clud­ing Alaska (twice) and Hawaii, re­sult­ing in bins full of pic­tures and slides.   She is sur­vived by two daugh­ters, Susan Wem­mert (Gary) and Carol Lon­dre; grand­chil­dren, Jill Num­rich (Phil), Chris­t­ian Wem­mert (Dana), Sarah Ste­in­feldt (Eric); great-grand­chil­dren, Em­i­lie Num­rich, Wyatt Num­rich, Leo Wem­mert, Carly Ste­in­feldt and Bri­anna Hogan; sis­ter-in-law, Mar­lene Bu­dahn; many nieces, nephews and friends.   She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Al­fons and Mar­cella Bu­dahn; her hus­band of more than 60 years, Darvin Chris­t­ian; her only brother, Ronald Bu­dahn of West Bend; her daugh­ter, Bon­nie Ur­diales of Sun Prairie; and her son-in-law, Jon Lon­dre of Racine.   Fu­neral ser­vices were held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1501 Erie St., Racine, on Tues­day, Sept. 26, at Noon with Pas­tor Jack Gilbert of­fi­ci­at­ing. Rel­a­tives and friends met prior to the ser­vice from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Leola was buried in Mayville, at Im­manuel Lutheran Church Ceme­tery (N8092 County Rd. Norma M. Lechner

Norma M. Lechner

   Norma M. Lechner, 87, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at Hope Nursing Home in Lomira.  Norma was born on January 23, 1936, to George and Nora (Reese) Oechsner.   Norma was united in marriage to George E. Lechner on February 14, 1956, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy.   She was a faithful member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church.    Norma was employed for over 40 years at Mayville Metal.   She was a lifetime member of the Mayville Gun Club, where she also was a trap shooter. She was an avid bowler and golfer. She enjoyed getting the family together for Packer games, where she would bake and cook for them. She was a proud Green Bay Packers Fan and held season tickets with George, for over 50 years.    Norma is survived by her sister, Elinor Zahn, as well as many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.    Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; her sisters, Edna (Jack) Schraufnagel and Marion (Milton) Youngbeck; siblings-in-law, Glen Zahn, Roger (Joan) Wild, and Ed (Lujack) Lechner; as well as other dear relatives and friends.   A private family Memorial Service for Norma will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with Rev. Dianne Marie Slater

Dianne Marie Slater

Dianne Marie Slater, 77, of Mayville passed away after suffering from health issues on Friday, September 1, 2023, at St. Agnes Hospital Home Care in Fond du Lac surrounded by family. Dianne was born on July 6, 1946, to Kathryn Giblin and Robert Slater in Dixon, IL. Dine, as she was affectionately known, served in the U.S. Army. She enjoyed attending classic car shows to reminisce of her time spent at the drag strip and the cars she grew up driving. She loved to bowl, especially with “the girls” in Milwaukee. Dine loved music; you couldn’t walk in the house without hearing a radio going somewhere. She couldn’t resist a rummage sale and was always up for a spontaneous road trip. But most importantly, she loved spending as much time as she could with her large family. Dianne is survived by her significant other, Dale Kriescher; daughter, Kathy (Kent) Shivers; granddaughters, Jackie (Jonathan) Gibson, Jessie Johnson, and Mercy Shivers; grandsons, Grant Shivers and Brett Shivers; great-granddaughters, Bryn Gibson, Monroe Gibson, and Amari Taylor; siblings, Rita Jean (Jim) Hermes, Mary Kay (Terry) Mageland, Nancy (Perry) Sommer, Bob (Pam) Slater, Marilyn Robinson, Jim (Char) Slater, Ron (Roxanne) Slater, Jerry Slater, and Theresa (Dave) Smith. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Dianne is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Roxanne Johnson; sisters, Virgina Britz and Paula McCarns. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 21, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main Street, Campbellsport. Dianne will be inurned next to her daughter, Roxanne, at Union Cemetary in Campbellsport following the visitation. Gerald Marvin Schaefer

   Ger­ald Mar­vin Schae­fer, age 70, of Mayville,  passed away on Mon­day, Sep­tem­ber 11, 2023, at Hope Nurs­ing Home in Lomira.    Ger­ald was born the son of Mil­ton and Vi­o­let (Nagel) Schae­fer on March 25, 1953, in the Town of Hus­tis­ford. He grad­u­ated from Mayville High School in 1971. He was united in mar­riage to Loris Finke on Sep­tem­ber 6, 1980, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.    Ger­ald was em­ployed at Cres­cent Garage, Mayville Metal, and Cen­tro. Be­fore re­tir­ing, he worked at Lee Pre­ci­sion in Hart­ford. He loved camp­ing, going to stock car races, and spend­ing time with his dog, Blinky.   Ger­ald is sur­vived by his wife, Loris; brother, James Schae­fer; sis­ter-in-law, Joan Schae­fer; step­-brother, Jim Schae­fer; aunts, Car­olyn and Lor­raine Nagel; in-laws, Mar­i­lyn Finke, Betty Miller, Emily (Roy) Rass­mann, Judi (Ron) Bas­t­ian, Bonita (Wally) Za­s­trow, Leon (Marge) Finke, Roland Finke, Don (Donna) Finke.    San­dra L. Smith, 69, of Beaver Dam, died sud­denly at her home in Beaver Dam on Mon­day, Sept. 11, 2023.   San­dra Louise was born on De­cem­ber 18, 1953, in West Bend to the late Hel­muth and Gladys (Zip­perer) Lu­b­itz and was raised by her uncle and aunt, Rus­sell and Erna Neu­man.   San­dra grad­u­ated high school in 1972 in West Bend.   On Sep­tem­ber 23, 1978, she was united in mar­riage with David Gor­don at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Hori­con.   San­dra en­joyed going to flea mar­kets and craft shows. William H. Grams

   William H. Grams of Sun City West, AZ; Tuc­son, AZ; Chero­kee Vil­lage, AR, and for­merly of Hori­con and Mil­wau­kee, passed away Au­gust 24, 2023, at Brookhaven As­sisted Liv­ing Fa­cil­ity in Sur­prise, AZ.   He was born on No­vem­ber 11, 1940, in Hori­con, to Harry and Olive (Kiekhae­fer) Grams. He was bap­tized on De­cem­ber 8, 1940, at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Hori­con. Spon­sors were Edwin Grams, George Nehring and Rose Haas(e). Bill was con­firmed in his Lutheran faith on April 11, 1954. He was a three-sport ath­lete in high school, play­ing foot­ball and bas­ket­ball and run­ning track.   Bill mar­ried his high school sweet­heart, Bev­er­ley Ann Tesch, of Hori­con and sub­se­quently moved to Mil­wau­kee to work at A.O. Smith, a man­u­fac­turer of au­to­mo­bile and truck frames.   Bill en­joyed play­ing sheepshead, camp­ing with his fam­ily, play­ing soft­ball and trav­el­ing to visit fam­ily.    He also worked as a ref­eree for high school foot­ball and bas­ket­ball games in his spare time.   He re­tired from A.O Smith, after work­ing there his whole adult life and moved to Chero­kee Vil­lage, AR, sev­eral years later. He and Bev split their re­tire­ment years, liv­ing be­tween Arkansas and Tuc­son, AZ. They en­joyed time with friends in both states, trav­el­ing, and host­ing fam­ily get-to­geth­ers. The pair shared a love of hik­ing trails in State Parks around the coun­try. Bill was a life­long church-goer and sup­porter of Wis­con­sin Synod Churches. His gen­eros­ity [in part] led to the build­ing of the new Early Child­hood cen­ter at Cross of Glory Lutheran School and Preschool in Peo­ria, AZ.    Sur­vivors in­clude sons, Michael L. Grams and wife, Sue Ann (nee Hess), of Big Bend and Tim­o­thy H. Grams and wife, Brenda K. (nee Schmidt), of Sun City West, AZ; sis­ter, Kay Schepp and hus­band, Jerry, of Hori­con; six grand­chil­dren and 11 great-grand­chil­dren; many cousins, nieces and nephews..   Bill was pre­ceded in death by his son, Neal An­thony, in Jan­u­ary of 1994; by a sis­ter, Yvonne Pieper, in 1996; and by his wife, Bev­er­ley in Jan­u­ary 2016.   A memo­r­ial ser­vice will be held on Sep­tem­ber 15, at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Peo­ria, AZ, at 5:30 p.m.   Memo­ri­als may be given to St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Hori­con; a State Park of your choice, or The Cross of Glory build­ing fund.

Trent Dean Twardokus

   Trent Dean Twar­dokus en­tered the arms of his lov­ing Sav­ior on Mon­day, Sept. 4, 2023.   Trent was born on Au­gust 30, 1995, to Dean and Car­rie (Bunkoske) Twar­dokus. The fol­low­ing day he was bap­tized and be­came a Child of God. Trent was a life­long mem­ber of Trin­ity Ev. Lutheran Church in Huils­burg. He at­tended and grad­u­ated from the spe­cial ed­u­ca­tion pro­gram at Hori­con High School.    Trent touched the lives of many peo­ple through­out his life. Whether it be his ther­a­pists, teach­ers, friends, or fam­ily, Trent made a big im­pact on so many peo­ple. Trent did things in his own way and taught oth­ers to see the world through his eyes.    Trent loved being in his com­fort zone with his fam­ily. In his younger years, Trent en­joyed trav­el­ling to base­ball and foot­ball games to watch his brother, Nathan, play. He was a huge fan of the Green Bay Pack­ers. Many spe­cial mem­o­ries were made cheer­ing on the Pack­ers with his fam­ily. GO! PACK! GO!   Trent is sur­vived by his par­ents, Dean and Car­rie Twar­dokus; his brother and sis­ter-in-law, Nathan (Jes­sica) Twar­dokus; niece, Olivia; ma­ter­nal grand­par­ents, Thomas and LuAnn Bunkoske; pa­ter­nal grand­fa­ther, Mar­vin Twar­dokus; aunts and un­cles, Kevin and Kyle Bunkoske, Ronald Twar­dokus, Lori (Bruce) Braun, Dale (Kathy) Twar­dokus, Sharyl (Bill) New­bury. Trent is fur­ther sur­vived by his cousins and other rel­a­tives and friends.    Trent was pre­ceded in death by his grand­mother, Ar­lene Twar­dokus.   Fu­neral Ser­vices for Trent were held on Sun­day, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. at Trin­ity Ev. Debbie M. Cappelli

   Mrs. Deb­bie Marie Cap­pelli of Hori­con, for­merly of Grafton, passed away late Mon­day evening, Sep­tem­ber 4, 2023, at Au­rora Zil­ber Hos­pice in Wauwatosa. She was 59 years old.   Deb­bie was born in Port Wash­ing­ton on Oc­to­ber 22, 1963, daugh­ter of Low­ell and Ar­lene (nee West) Lieben­stein. She grew up in Grafton and at­tended local schools, grad­u­at­ing from Grafton High School, Class of 1982. Deb­bie con­tin­ued her ed­u­ca­tion at Fox Val­ley Tech­ni­cal Col­lege, ob­tain­ing a cer­tifi­cate in truck dri­ving, be­fore earn­ing her bach­e­lor’s de­gree in busi­ness ad­min­is­tra­tion from UW-Mil­wau­kee in 1990.   While dri­ving 18-Wheel­ers over the road, she met the love of her life, John “JC” Cap­pelli. They were united in mar­riage on Jan­u­ary 27, 2001 in Ger­man­town and set­tled down in Hus­tis­ford, be­fore mov­ing to their home in Hori­con in 2010. They en­joyed a won­der­ful 22 years to­gether.   Deb was very artis­tic. She de­signed and made jew­elry for many years. She en­joyed trav­el­ing, tak­ing care of her home and yard, flower gar­den­ing and pho­tog­ra­phy. Fam­ily meant every­thing to her, and she was al­ways there if some­one needed help.   Those left to cher­ish her mem­ory in­clude her hus­band, John “JC”; her mother, Ar­lene Lieben­stein; brother, Troy (spe­cial friend Dawn Dieringer) Lieben­stein; mother-in-law, Adele Cap­pelli; and brother-in-law, Wal­ter Cap­pelli. She is fur­ther sur­vived by niece, Nic­hole Lieben­stein; nephew, Noah Narlock; cousins, Car­rie (Rick) Scheel-Bath, Todd (Carol) Lieben­stein, and Craig (Lisa) Lieben­stein; aunt, Lyn (Mark) May; other fam­ily and friends.   Deb­bie was pre­ceded in death by her grand­par­ents; fa­ther, Low­ell Lieben­stein; fa­ther-in-law, Odino Cap­pelli; aunts and un­cles, Mar­jorie (Daniel) Szy­ch­lin­ski and Neal (Marie) Lieben­stein; and close fam­ily friend, Lori Man­thei.   A Memo­r­ial Ser­vice was held at 6 p.m. on Mon­day, Sept. 11, at the Eernisse Fu­neral Home, 1167 Wash­ing­ton Ave., Cedar­burg. Warren C. Lovejoy

War­ren C. Love­joy    War­ren C. Love­joy, 91, for­merly of Hori­con, passed away on Sun­day, Aug. 27, 2023, at Prairie Ridge As­sisted Liv­ing in Mayville, with his daugh­ter, Lori, by his side.   War­ren was born on May 20, 1932, in the Bran­don area to Byron and Norma (Nos­ter) Love­joy. He grad­u­ated from Bran­don High School in 1950. He en­listed in the Air Force shortly after grad­u­a­tion and served most of his term of duty in Japan.   After his re­turn home, he began work­ing at John Deere Hori­con Works.   On May 16, 1959, he mar­ried Donna We­ich­brodt at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Hori­con. They later bought a farm on St. He­lena Road, and he worked the farm while con­tin­u­ing to work at John Deere until his early re­tire­ment due to health is­sues on De­cem­ber 1, 1992.    War­ren loved the out­doors and en­joyed work­ing the fields on his farm. He loved to hunt and fish and spent many good times with his fa­ther and brother hunt­ing in Canada and North­ern Wis­con­sin.   War­ren is sur­vived by his daugh­ters, Lori (Richard) Marschke of Hori­con and Peggy (Robert) Web­ster of Stow, MA; grand­chil­dren, John (Melissa), Elias and Abi­gail; sis­ter, Carol (Earl) Navis of North Fond du Lac and sis­ter-in-law, Bev­erly We­ich­brodt of Hori­con; nieces and nephews and other rel­a­tives and friends.    He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; his wife, Donna; sis­ters, Jean Gohlke, Mae Holmer, and Betty Fre­ville; and brother, Ver­non Love­joy.    In fol­low­ing with the wishes of War­ren, there will be no for­mal fu­neral ser­vice.
