Youngsters Support Police Officers By Donating Lemonade Stand Proceeds


KAREN ROUSE A group of four youngsters worked all summer long, from early June through the end of August, selling lemonade, water and popcorn to hot and thirsty travelers on Illinois Road in Herman.The children ranging in age from five- to 10-years-old, earned more than $1,000 and donated its entirety to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.

KAREN ROUSE The current status of the Mayville Golf Course prompted long-time Mayville resident Vince Longo to address the City of Mayville Public Works Committee on October 26. As previously reported, the city-owned golf course is for sale, having most recently been leased and operated by MGT Properties – namely Jeff Trott.

Due To Generous Donations, Phase 3 Of Playground Improvements Are Underway


Due To Generous Donations, Phase 3 Of Playground Improvements Are Underway On Monday, Oct. 19, members of the Mayville Playground Planning Team, along with representatives from supporting businesses, broke ground on Phase 3 of updates to playgrounds at Mayville schools. Phase 3 is development of a fitness course at the top of a hill at Mayville Middle School which costs $135,000.
