Local Girl Scouts Receive Silver Award For Charitable 5K


Four Girl Scouts Cadettes from the Hustisford/ Horicon Girl Scout troop celebrated earning their Silver Awards on Sunday, Jan. 26 at the American Legion Post 157 in Horicon. Lexi David, Allison Heckl, Adriana Nicolaus and Zheta Rohloff researched a need in the community, developed a plan and implemented it to earn the awards.

MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER The School District of Horicon Board of Education met this last Monday, Feb. 3, at 5 p.m. for a non-regular meeting following the unexpected passing of board President Tina Streblow. The intention of the meeting was to fill the vacancy of board president. Board Vice President David Westimayer opened the meeting.

MITCHELL BRADLEY KELLER More than 50 people packed the Burnett Town Hall for Wisconsin Sixth District U.S. Rep. Glen Grothman’s (RGlenbeulah) town hall meeting on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day last Monday, Jan. 20, and several key talking points came up throughout the more than hour long meeting.
