Lomira Girls Host Lakeside Lutheran in Second Round BEN PRIESGEN JOURNALIST On February 23, the Lomira girls lost 63-46 to Lakeside Lutheran in the second round of the WIAA tournament. Lakeside Lutheran (12-13, 5-3) got out to an early 10-2 lead over Lomira (14-11, 8-6) in the first half. The Warriors continued their fast start with a 7-2 scoring stretch to push their lead to 17-4

Mayville Boys Win Regular Season Finale BEN PRIESGEN JOURNALIST On February 22, the Mayville boys beat Campbellsport 66-51 on Senior Night. Mayville (6-18, 4-10) got off to a fast start with a 20-5 lead over Campbellsport (5-17, 2-12) at the 9:05 mark in the first half. The Cardinals got a three pointer by Cohen Raddemann to push the Cardinals’ lead out to 26-14 with 4:49 remaining

Marshladies to Represent Horicon at State


Marshladies to Represent Horicon at State JOE KERN HEAD COACH On Saturday, Feb. 17, Horicon traveled to Dodgeland for the sectional tournament. The Marshmen battled through adversity all day. Individual highlights were Cylus Hetzel-Sawyer at 132 who took fourth falling just short of a state tournament bid but, on route to his fourth place finish, was able to collect his 100th career win.

Lomira Advancing Seven Wrestlers to State BEN PRIESGEN JOURNALIST On February 16, Lomira wrestling had seven wrestlers advance to the Division 3 WIAA Individaul State Wrestling Tournament. Lomira will have Jordan Lisiecki, Marshall Hanke, Colin Weber, Marek Lisiecki, Easton Neuman, Warren Sauer and Kara Kuge going to the state tournament after advancing from the Dodgeland Sectional.
