William A. Mu­sack, 88, of Theresa passed away on Mon­day, April 11, 2022, at Hope Health and Re­habili­ta­tion in Lomira with his fam­ily by his side.   Bill was born the son of William and Selma (Krueger) Mu­sack on No­vem­ber 25, 1933, in Theresa Sta­tion.   He was united in mar­riage to Mary Van Nor­man on April 9, 1988, in North Fond du Lac.   Bill served his coun­try hon­or­ably in the US Army serv­ing from 1953 to 1955.   He was a mem­ber of St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Theresa and a mem­ber of the Theresa Amer­i­can Le­gion Post #270.   Bill had worked at Gen­eral Tele­phone, and then was a jour­ney­man line­man, and also drove truck for over 20 years.   Bill is sur­vived by his chil­dren, Con­nie (Mar­lin) Kuehl of North Fond du Lac, Stan Mu­sack of Fond du Lac, Lau­rie Rein­hart of Oshkosh, Nancy Bar­rett of Arkansas, Nan­nette Lem of Vir­ginia, Tammy (Loren) Sorheim of Theresa Sta­tion, Selma (John) Bor­son of Crys­tal Lake, Illi­nois; his step-chil­dren, Dar­ryl (Shari) Van Nor­man of Theresa, Lynan (David) Wiese of Mayville, Lisa (Paul) Klein­maus of Rosendale; his sib­lings, Vir­ginia Wen­dorf of Mayville, Alan Mu­sack of Hart­ford, Jea­nine Stre­blow of Mayville, Ger­ald Mu­sack of Theresa, and Lloyd Mu­sack of Farm­ersville; his 26 grand­chil­dren, many great-grand­chil­dren and other rel­a­tives and friends.   He was pre­ceded in death by his par­ents; his wife, Mary; son, Ken Mu­sack; daugh­ter, Penny; daugh­ter-in-in­fancy, Vicki; and broth­ers, Clar­ion and Don­ald.   A vis­i­ta­tion for William was held on Sat­ur­day, April 16, from 10 until 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Ev.    Shirley A. Quandt, 87, of Mayville passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Summit Aurora Hospital in Oconomowoc, following a fall.    Shirley Anne Schultz was born on September 3, 1934, in Mayville, daughter of Erwin and Edna Metke Schultz. She grew up on Henninger Street and was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. Shirley was a 1952 graduate of Mayville High School.    Shirley was united in marriage to Edgar ‘Red’ Walter Quandt on September 17, 1955, and their 49-year happily-ever-after centered around Mayville.   Shirley enjoyed being a homemaker.   She was a 50-year Dodge County elections worker and in her young adult years also worked as a secretary (administrative assistant) for the West Bend Company, Maysteel, and Schinderle Insurance.    In her spare time, Shirley enjoyed collecting Hummel figurines and cheering on the Packers. Her service included Senior Luther League, Aid Association for Lutherans, singing with the church choir, and quick response to many committees. She liked to travel with Edgar, created perfect needlepoint, beautiful cut-out Christmas cookies, and could wrap a gift as if prepared for a photo shoot. Her phenomenal recall of detail is fondly recounted by her grandchildren, of whom she was exceptionally proud; “Before there was Google, there was Grammy”.   Survivors include her son Greg and wife Teresa of Peachtree City, GA; her grandchildren, Matthew Quandt and wife Rebecca of Arlington, VA, Lindsay Quandt Gossner and husband Joel of Atlanta, GA, and Joshua Quandt and wife Jada of Atlanta, GA; sister-in-law, Violet Schultz of West Bend; her first great-grandchild, James Edgar Quandt of Arlington, VA, was happily anticipated; her niece, Christine Bauer and husband Joe of Peoria, AZ; her nephew, David Quandt and wife Christine of Lomira; extended friends and family also affectionately recall her kind-hearted, thoughtful, and determined soul.   Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar; and brothers, Gordon and Willis ‘Dick’ Schultz.   A private family graveside service was held with Pastor Kenneth Schaub officiating.    Amber B. Plato of Iron Ridge passed away Sun­day, Feb. 20.   She was born on July 21, 1999, in Dane County, the daugh­ter of Der­rick Plato and Tammy Well­hoe­fer.   Amber was a young, tal­ented, and as­pir­ing artist, ded­i­cated pet mom and mo­ti­va­tion to oth­ers.   After grad­u­at­ing from Hori­con High School in 2018 as a 4-year honor stu­dent, she en­rolled in the Art Ed­u­ca­tion pro­gram at Car­roll Uni­ver­sity. Al­though she was un­able to com­plete her stud­ies, she con­tin­ued to cre­ate beau­ti­ful art pieces. Those for­tu­nate enough to meet her ac­quain­tance would soon re­al­ize her gen­tle and com­pas­sion­ate spirit. But, her pos­i­tive, con­sid­er­ate and sup­port­ive na­ture was es­pe­cially in­spir­ing to those clos­est to her.   Such a kind and beau­ti­ful soul, taken from us much too soon, will be dearly missed……but NEVER for­got­ten.   Amber is sur­vived by her fa­ther, Der­rick Plato of Iron Ridge; mother, Tammy Well­hoe­fer of Neosho; sib­lings, Ash­ley and Tey­gan; aunts, Michelle Plato of West Chicago and Car­rie (Wal­ter) Pfeil of Wit­ten­berg; cousins, Devin Plato of Bran­don, Wal­ter Jr., Tren­ton, and Jay­don Pfeil.  Elaine “Shorty” Miller, age 69, died after a two-year bat­tle with ovar­ian can­cer on March 29, 2022, with her lov­ing hus­band, Dale, at her side.    Elaine was born on July 13, 1952, in Waupun, the daugh­ter of the late Louis Jr. and Louise Schultz.    She at­tended St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Brownsville and then grad­u­ated from Lomira High School in 1970.    In 1974, she mar­ried Dale Samp­son and had two beau­ti­ful daugh­ters, Wendy and Becky. She worked at a lum­ber yard most of her work­ing years as an ad­min­is­tra­tive clerk. She fin­ished her re­tire­ment years work­ing for Cole Oil of Lomira. The fam­ily moved to Fond du Lac in 1981 where she spent 20 years. They joined St. Peter’s Church and the girls at­tended grade school there and then on to Win­nebago Lutheran Acad­emy.    In 2001, she mar­ried Dale Miller and gained four more beau­ti­ful girls, Trish, Stephanie, Jen­nifer, and Eliz­a­beth. She then moved to Ash­ford and joined St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Town of Lomira, where Dale was a mem­ber. They both en­joyed many happy years to­gether. They trav­eled when they could with their friends and made many mem­o­ries. Shorty loved to golf, es­pe­cially with her sib­lings. She played soft­ball until the age of 54 and liked to go fish­ing, deer hunt­ing, camp­ing, bowl­ing, card club, and watch­ing the Brew­ers and the Pack­ers. In the win­ter, her fa­vorite pas­time was doing 1,000-piece puz­zles.   Those she leaves be­hind are her lov­ing hus­band of 20 years, Dale Miller; her daugh­ter, Wendy (Christo­pher) Hahn; her four step-daugh­ters, Trish Miller, Stephanie Gitzel, Jen­nifer (Jake) Schnuell, Eliz­a­beth (Frank) Miller-Vogel; her six broth­ers, Don Schultz, Louie Schultz III, Wayne (Bon­nie) Schultz, Marty (Anna) Schultz, Mark (Margie) Schultz, and John Schultz; three sis­ters, Mar­garet (Bob) Garkey, Ann (Steve) Geschke, and Juanita (Jim) Ancil; seven grand­sons, Tay­lor (spe­cial friend, Abby) Hawkin­son, Tyler Koll­man, Tren­ton Koll­man, Ethan Miller, Brant Schnuell, Wil Schnuell, and Ken­neth Hahn.    Roger Becker passed away on March 31, 2022, at Saint Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was surrounded by his family.   Roger was born in Stevens Point, on June 5, 1939, to Clarence and Helen (Pawlik) Becker. He spent his early days on the family’s tree nursery with his parents and sister, Judy.   He graduated high school in 1957 from PJ Jacobs High School of Stevens Point. With Roger’s musical talent, he was a member of numerous bands including The Stardusters, (one of the first rock and roll bands in Wisconsin). He shared his love of music with others as a teacher and passed this love and talent down to all three of his children and grandchildren.   Roger loved music, cars and golf almost as much as he loved his wife and best friend of 61 years. Roger and Patricia met at UW-Steven’s Point. They married on December 2, 1961, in Plymouth. Together they raised three children as they moved around the state of Wisconsin working with members of Patricia’s family at the Kohler Company, Alpha Cast in Whitewater, Metalcraft of Mayville, and DW Davis in Racine. Roger and Pat also owned and operated Becker’s Car Wash and Marshland Liquer in Horicon.   Roger always made time for others. He was a member of the Jaycees, the Lions Club, and the Mayville Fire Department. He was a scoutmaster, little league coach, and an active member of the Catholic Church.    Roger is survived by his wife, Patricia; his sister, Judy Groholski; his children, Michael Becker, Pam (John) Walston, and William (Denee) Becker. He was especially proud of his grandchildren, Jessica (David) Alldredge, Adam (Nicole) Walston, Morgan Walston, Megan Becker, Jacob Becker, and Emily Becker; and his great-grandchildren, James Henry, Elijah, Stella, and Henry.   Roger was a quiet and gentle man who had a funny story and a smile for everyone he met.   A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. at the church in Mayville.    Gary Teichmiller, 72, of Mayville passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Madison.   Gary was born the son of Floyd and Ruth (Potter) Teichmiller on November 10, 1949, in Fond du Lac.He attended Beaver Dam High School.  Gary served his country honorably from March 1968 to January 1971 in the US Army. He was an active member of the Mayville American Legion Post #69, serving as a past commander.   Gary had worked at RuMar Manufacturing in Mayville for over 30 years.   In his spare time, Gary enjoyed playing cards, especially sheepshead and liked to play the lottery, in which he ended up lucky on many occasions. Gary loved sports and enjoyed watching football and baseball and also liked country and western music. He also loved going out for dinner with family and friends.   Gary is survived by his daughter, Tracy Teichmiller of Beaver Dam; his former wife, Mary Teichmiller of Beaver Dam; his grandson, Austin Elvers; his siblings, Gordon Teichmiller of Rolling Prairie, Betty Dobrinsky of AR., Ray Teichmiller of Waupun, and Terry Teichmiller of Lake Puckaway; further survived by other relatives and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Linda Bennett; and brothers, Tim and Roger.   A memorial service for Gary will take place on Saturday, April 30, at 12 noon at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home in Mayville.    Jeffrey J. Kohlmann, 54, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Clearview Health and Rehabilitation in Juneau.   Jeffrey was born on August 11, 1967, in Milwaukee to Joseph and Gertrude (Fehringer) Kohlmann. In 1970, Sabino and Phyllis Rigotti welcomed Jeff into their family and cared for him for the remainder of their lives.   Jeff graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1988.   He worked at Green Valley Enterprises and loved going to work.   He enjoyed puzzles and framing them to give as gifts. Jeff participated in Special Olympics where he earned many medals and ribbons through the years. Jeff liked playing bingo and occasional trips to the casino. He enjoyed Wisconsin sports and local race tracks. He loved traveling from the Statue of Liberty to California and everywhere in between. Jeff was a loving person and made many friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.   Jeff is survived by and will be missed by his best friend and brother from another mother, Tony Beauchamp; he is further survived by his brothers, John (Kris) Rigotti of Lomira, Frank (Debbie) Kohlmann of Dousman, and Steve (Sue) Kohlmann of Brookfield; his sisters, Gina (Louis) Katzke of Eagle, and Gabby (Tom) Cullen of North Carolina; other relatives and friends.   Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Gertrude Kohlmann; and his dad and mom, Sabino and Phyllis Rigotti.   There was a memorial gathering for Jeff at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. A memorial service followed at the funeral home beginning at noon.    Gerald W. “Jerry” Hoffman, 82, of Horicon passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 31, 2022.   He was born May 3, 1939, to Mathias and Evelyn (Weginger) Hoffman of Neda.   Jerry married Talitha P. “Taddy” Groose on August 1, 1959, at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon, where they resided and raised two loving daughters.   Jerry retired from John Deere Horicon Works and took pride in his many years of dedicated service, working in a variety of manufacturing roles.    Jerry enjoyed a wide variety of interests throughout his life. He loved cars (Fords) and racing. As an avid NASCAR fan, he enjoyed organizing group trips to races around the circuit. Jerry and his close friends created memories on the Riverbend Park softball diamond, with friendships that extended beyond the team and into the next generation. A builder, woodworker and jack-of-all trades, Jerry built his Raasch Hill home, helped many others with their renovations and was known for his beautiful creations from his small woodshop. Jerry and Taddy shared a deep love of classic country music, gardening and each other. Jerry had a love of the outdoors, spending time at the hunting cabin or fishing and in his later years together with Taddy, watching the birds and wildlife from their home overlooking the marsh.   Jerry is survived by his wife, Taddy; daughters, Linda (Randy) Laufenberg of Horicon and Sandra (Rick) Custer of Appleton; two grandchildren, Garrett (Brittany) Custer and Tanner Custer (girlfriend Amanda); great-granddaughter, Skylar Custer; his father, Mathias Hoffman Sr. of Neda; siblings, Matt Hoffman of Brookfield, John (Beve) Hoffman of Markesan, and Beverly Weinheimer of Beaver Dam; sisters-in-law, Bonnie and Norita Hoffmann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his mother; his grandson, Cody Laufenberg; siblings, Patsy (Jack) Grissman, Robert Hoffman, and Tony Hoffman; and in-laws, Carol Hoffman and Chet Weinheimer.   A visitation was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon on Tuesday, April 5, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Daniel Vojta officiated.    James Ehlers, 68, of Mayville passed away after a short battle with cancer on March 29, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.   James was born on August 16, 1953, in Fond du Lac, the son of Delbert and the late Violet (Pusch) Ehlers. Jim was baptized on September 6, 1953 at Zion Lutheran in Theresa.       He attended St. John’s Lutheran School in Mayville and was confirmed on May 1967 by Pastor Ladwig. Jim graduated with honors from Mayville High School in 1971.   After high school Jim attended one year at Iowa State University, in Ames, IA., with hopes of becoming a veterinarian. As many freshmen do, Jim changed his major, and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy with a degree in Pharmacy graduating in May of 1977. James received his pharmacy license in 1978.   The highlight of Jim’s life was working as a pharmacist. He loved every minute each place he worked was ‘his family’ starting with his internship at Menomonee Falls, then to Osco in Marinette. He later transferred to Osco in Fond du Lac. Then he decided to try hospital pharmacy and he reached out to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Milwaukee. After a while, he became an independent pharmacist working for Aurora Medical Centers, Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, Guderson St. Joseph Hospital in Hillsboro, Holy Family in Manitowoc and back to St. Joseph in Milwaukee.   James did take some time off to travel to Europe, Greece, and several cruises. He loved to visit his Florida home annually. Traveling with Jim was always an adventure; there was always something that didn’t go as planned.   He was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.    Those he leaves behind are his father, Delbert Ehlers of Mayville; his sister, Bonnie (Wayne) Schultz of Mayville; his brother, David (Beth) Ehlers of Plymouth; his niece, Tammy (Ron) Walters and her children Emily and Aaron; his nephew, Ken (Jenny) Drake and his children Olivia and Owen; his step niece, Jenny (special friend Kurt Frank) Thompson and her children, Jocelyn and Andrea; his step-nephew, Kevin (Becky) Schultz and their children, Austin, Hayden, Cohen, and Blake. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his mother Violet in 1991, and a stillborn brother in 1957.   A memorial service for Jim took place on Monday, April 4, at 11 a.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler and Rev. Joshua Frazee officiating. Visitation took place on Sunday, April 3, from 1 to 4 p.m. at St. John’s in Mayville and again on Monday, April 4, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
