Dorothy Mae Schulz, 90, went to heaven to spend eternity with Jesus on June 11, 2022.    She was born in Beaver Dam on August 31, 1931, to Agnes (Yagodzinski) and Alex Bauer.   Dorothy grew up in Beaver Dam and attended St. Peter’s School until her family moved to the farm on Highway 33 in 1941, and then attended and graduated from Horicon High School in 1949. She moved to Milwaukee and lived with and nannied for the Ebershoff family in Whitefish Bay while attending the Milwaukee Business Institute. After returning to Horicon, she married Roy Schulz on September 26, 1953 and shared 62 wonderful years together until his death in 2016. Dorothy worked as a secretary for Attorney Clarence Traeger and as a receptionist for Dr. John Karsten. In 1959 she and her husband adopted Randy, and three year later, Ellen, and described those years as the happiest days of her life.   Dorothy was an incredible baker and was known to have a sweet tooth especially for jelly-filled doughnuts and coconut cream pie. She enjoyed getting together with her friends to play bridge, and joining family at Friday night fish fries at the Legion in Horicon. She took pride in being an involved mother and grandmother, enjoying celebrating holidays with family and sharing a good meal. She and Roy traveled all over the U.S. in retirement and took many family camping trips. Dorothy was a long-time member of St. Malachy’s Church in Horicon (later Sacred Heart) and her faith was the cornerstone of her life. For the past three years she resided at Brookdale Senior Living in Onalaska, where she was described as a “cutie patootie”.   She is survived by her children, Randy Schulz, Mountain View, CA, and Ellen Kreger, Onalaska; her grandchildren, Carly (Eric) Sanft, Jesse (fiancé Alyssa) Kreger, and step-grandchild, Stacy (Brian) Freber; her brother and sister-in-law, Eugene (Marion) Bauer; great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.   Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roy; sister, brother and sisters-in-law, Dolores (Sylvester) Hesprich, Ruth (Milton) Eberle, and Bernice (Robert) Marschke.   A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Horicon, followed by a funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Father Justin Lopina officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.  Marie Therese Schraufnagel at the age of 92, of LeRoy, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on June 6, 2022.   Marie was born July 2, 1929, in LeRoy. She was the daughter of Arthur Sr. and Marie (Hoffman) Krapfl.   She was married to Leonard A. Schraufnagel on September 10, 1949, in LeRoy.    Marie and her husband raised seven children on their family farm. In retirement, Marie served as a mentor and “Angel” to the St Andrew/St. Mary school children. She spent years making rosaries for the missions and Baptismal stoles for the infants. Her grandchildren knew her for her cookie jars that never emptied and the games she played with them the minute they came to visit. She rarely lost at cribbage, and she maintained, until the end, her love of her “card playing Ladies”.    She is survived by her children, Mike (Betty) Schraufnagel of Hillsbough, NJ, Carol Schraufnagel of Iron Ridge, John (Linda) Schraufnagel of Campbellsport, Jane (Bernie) O’Connor of Chicago, IL, Jenny (Ron) Youngbeck of Brownsville, Dale (Jackie) Schraufnagel of Ripon, and Warren (Cheryl ) Schraufnagel of Lomira; her 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Bauer of Fond du Lac; and three sisters-in law, Margaret Krapfl of LeRoy, Mary Krapfl Hoffman of LeRoy, and Martha Cisler of Greenfield.   She was proceeded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Pat; three sisters; two brothers; as well as multiple in-laws.    A visitation for Marie will be held at St Andrew’s Catholic Church, LeRoy on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.    A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. The Reverend Father Tom Biersack will preside, and inurnment will be at St. Andrew’s Cemetery immediately following.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Andrew Cemetery Association for shade trees.   Special thanks to her nieces and nephews for all of the love, care, and support shown to Marie and her family, as well as, Agnesian Hospice, CNA’s Patti Wells and Patty Clark, Ken Kunstmann and Marie’s neighbors.    Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.KoepsellFh.com

   Troy Frederiksen, 22, of Horicon passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam.   Troy was born the youngest son of John and Linda (Spittel) Frederiksen on July 19, 1999, in Beaver Dam.   He was a 2018 graduate of Horicon High School.   In his spare time, Troy loved to be outdoors-whether it be hunting, fishing, or being on the marsh. He loved to work on vehicles and was quite skilled at it. He was known for his great style and awesome sneaker collection. Troy also enjoyed gaming and music.    Troy is survived by his father, John of Horicon; his grandmother, Agnes Frederiksen of Beaver Dam; his siblings, Chad Spittel of Theresa, Jessica Frederiksen of Horicon, Tracy Frederiksen of Milwaukee, Cory Frederiksen of Horicon, Mike Frederiksen of Horicon, and Andrew Frederiksen of Gwinn, MI; his nieces, Allie and Cali Spittel.; further survived by other relatives and many friends.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda; his grandparents, Leslie and Violet Spittel; as well as his uncle, Tom Frederiksen; and cousin, Tom Reinwald.    A private graveside service will be held at St. Malachy Cemetery in Horicon.   Memorials may be directed to the family.   Koepsell Funeral Home in Horicon is serving the family. www.KoepsellFH.com

   Floyd Raymond Klug, 89, of the Town of Scott, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his home with his wife, Laura, by his side.    He was born on April 12, 1933, in the Town of Scott, the son of the late Raymond and Leta (Wilke) Klug. He was baptized in the Town of Scott and was confirmed in 1946. He was a 1951 graduate of Random Lake High School.   On October 22, 1960, he was united in marriage to Laura Marie Koepsell at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mayville.    Floyd served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1957 aboard the U.S.S. Everglades. After his service in the Navy, Floyd returned to hauling milk for various companies with the majority of his time spent working for Wilbur Pfeiffer Company. In addition to hauling milk, Floyd worked on the homestead farm in the Town of Scott and, after marrying Laura, on the Walter and Irene Koepsell dairy farm in Mayville. In 1973, Floyd and Laura purchased the homestead farm in the Town of Scott, which he successfully ran until his retirement.    Floyd served in various volunteer roles within the community, including being a longstanding member and president of The Beechwood Fire Department, member of the Town of Scott planning commission, and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Town of Scott elder, trustee and chairman.   Floyd loved socializing with others; always ready to strike up a conversation. Floyd and Laura enjoyed attending polka dances with their many friends. Floyd enjoyed cars and was a member of the Classic Car Club.    Floyd was beloved by his family and is survived by his loving wife of nearly 62 years, Laura; his daughter, Doreen (Chris) Van Ells; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Caleb) Zastrow and Hailey Van Ells (Cal Brook); his sister, Rogene (Dan) Bolander and his brother, Glen (Marge) Klug, as well as other relatives and friends.   Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Leta Klug.    A visitation for Floyd will be held at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on Tuesday, June 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and also at St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane on Wednesday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.   A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Mark Eckert officiating with military honor with a luncheon to follow.    Delbert W. Ehlers, 94, of Mayville, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, with his family by his side at Marshfield Medical Center in Beaver Dam.   Delbert was born on July 14, 1927, on the family farm in the Town of Herman to William and Esther (Justman) Ehlers. He was brought to faith on July 31, 1927, with the washing of Holy Baptism at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Town Theresa by Rev. Julius Uhlmann. On September 22, 1940, he was confirmed at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church by Rev. Herman Cares. Delbert attended eight years of education at Black Oak School (one room school house) in the Town of Herman.   Delbert served his country in the US Army Air Corp from 1945 to 1948 as a traffic controller.    On January 26, 1952, Delbert was united in marriage to Violet Pusch at Peace Ev. Lutheran Church in Hartford by the Rev. Adolph Von Rohr. They were blessed with three children, Bonnie, James, and David.   Delbert enjoyed all the places he worked (with many stories to tell) starting as a farm hand, working at Baker Canning Co. in Theresa, the shoe factory in Mayville (where he made his wife’s wedding shoes) and 36 years at Mayville Metal Products retiring in 1989.   Del loved hunting, fishing, watching the Brewers, Packers, and his grand children playing sports. At many a softball game, he managed to get hit with a ball. He loved to travel. Alongside his wife, they traveled to 49 states missing only Rhode Island. After Violet’s passing, the traveling continued with Jim, Bonnie, and Wayne on numerous cruises. Jim and Del even went to Europe.   He was a charter member of the Field and Stream Sportsman’s Club in Mayville.   Del is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Wayne) Schultz of Mayville; his son, David (Beth) Ehlers of Plymouth; his grandchildren, Tammy (Ron) Walters, and their children, Emily and Aaron, Ken (Jenny) Drake and their children, Olivia and Owen, Jenny (Kurt Frank) Thompson and her children, Jocelyn and Andrea, Kevin (Becky) Schultz and their children, Austin, Hayden, Cohen, and Blake, Katie (Rick) Campbell and their children, Killian and Flynn, Jeri (Christopher) Reiner and her son, Tristan, Vanessa (Nate) Werner and their children, Bennett and Blake; sisters-in-law, LaVerne (Richard) Zahnow and Carol Pusch.   He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Violet; his son, James; brothers, Myron, Merlin, William, and Carroll; his sisters, LaVerne and Ruth Giese, and a still born son.   A visitation for Delbert will be held on Thursday, June 2, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. Another visitation will be held on Friday, June 3, from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler and Rev. Joshua Frazee officiating. Interment will take place at St. John Cemetery in Mayville with military honors to be conducted by the Mayville American Legion Post #69.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John’s Elevator Fund.    Special thanks to Prairie Ridge in Mayville for their loving care since January.    Robert A. "Bobbo" Royes, 85, of West Bend, formerly of Mayville and Green Valley, AZ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital in West Bend with his family by his side.   Robert was born the son of John and Genevieve (Jagodzinski) Royes on December 15, 1936, in Chicago.   He served his country honorably in the US Army from 1957 to 1963, serving as SFC (E-6) Military Police.   Bob was united in marriage to Sandra J. Kapp on August 31, 1963, in Chicago.   He had worked as a purchasing manager for several area manufacturing companies such as Mayville Engineering Company, Watertown Metal Products, and retired from Gleason Reel in January of 2001.    Robert was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Mayville and also The Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior in Green Valley.   In his spare time, Bob loved sports and was a great athlete. He played softball until his early 80s and was a proud member of the BAJA Sporting Club in Green Valley and also served on its Board of Directors. Bob also enjoyed volunteering in his community helping out with the Sheriff’s Auxiliary (S.A.V.) and Operation Christmas Child.   Robert is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandi of West Bend; his children, Cathy (Jeff) Schneider of Fond du Lac and B.J. (Amy) Royes of West Bend; his sister, Romaine (Larry) Burfield of FL; his grandchildren, Josh (Hannah) Royes, Dustin (fiance’ Libby) Schneider, Zack Royes, and Taylor (Brandon) Van Bogaert; his great-granddaughter, Emilia; further survived by other relatives and many friends.   Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John, Jr.   A memorial service for Bob will take place on Saturday, June 11, at 12 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler officiating. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.    Charles J. Kreuziger, 88, of Fond du Lac, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at St. Agnes Hospital.   Charles was born on September 18, 1933, in Watertown, a son of the late John and Genevieve Kreuziger (nee Powers) and he married Beverly Nickel on December 21, 1957.   He worked as a mechanic and also at Clearview Nursing Home in maintenance.    Charlie enjoyed hunting, watching the birds and working on small engines.   Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Raymond Kreuziger (Sharlyne Tetzlaff), Charleen (Ted) Lamp, Rena Eldridge (Jim Haslow), and Michael (Julia) Kreuziger; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sisters, Helen Schartner and Judy Zastrow.   He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly; and siblings, LeRoy Kreuziger, Roman Kreuziger, Elizabeth Kreuziger, and Robert Kreuziger.   A memorial service in remembrance of Charles will be held on Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave., Fond du Lac, WI 54935.
