Werner Emil Herman Steinbach, 87, joined his Savior in Heaven on November 30, 2022.   Werner was born on April 30, 1935, to Arnold and Elsbeth (Keup) Steinbach in Theresa. He was baptized on May 5, 1935, and later confirmed on June 5, 1949, at Immanuel Lutheran Church.   On July 21, 1968, Werner married his sweetheart, Connie Mae Holle, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sylvan Grove, KS.    Werner was a lifelong and active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He used the gifts and abilities that God gave him faithfully to serve as chairman, secretary, and treasurer at church. He used his voice to praise God by singing as a choir member; accompanying his wife, Connie, in the balcony while she played the organ. Werner worked with the committee that renovated the church basement into a fellowship hall and kitchen. When the congregation celebrated its 150th Anniversary in 1997, he compiled much of the early church history for the anniversary booklet.    Werner worked in area factories and enjoyed farming. He played hymns and polkas on his accordion and in his later years, listened to numerous recordings. He was pleasantly surprised to receive his official high school diploma at age 79.    Werner and Connie enjoyed travelling and experiencing new places. Together, they toured Germany three times, enjoyed lively entertainment in Branson, MO, and visited many historical sites in and around Washington, D.C.    Werner will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Connie; brothers, Norbert (Cheryl) Steinbach; William (Bonnie) Steinbach; and Gordon (Jackie) Steinbach; and his sister, Marian Griepentrog. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.    Werner was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Don Griepentrog.   Funeral services for Werner were held on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church (The River Church), in the Town of Theresa, with Rev. Douglas Zahner officiating. Visitation for Werner was held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the River Church.    Pamela Ann Lev­en­hagen, 64, of Mon­tello passed away Wednes­day, Nov. 30, 2022, sur­rounded by her fam­ily at Martha’s As­sisted Liv­ing in Prince­ton.   Pam was born in Beaver Dam on March 28, 1958, to Robert and Mar­i­lyn (Whitrock) Henkel. She grad­u­ated from Hori­con High School in 1976 and on Sep­tem­ber 30, 1978, Pam was united in mar­riage to Dar­win Lev­en­hagen at Zion Lutheran Church in Hori­con. To­gether, Pam and Dar­win resided in Hori­con for 25 years, rais­ing their two daugh­ters; in 2003 they re­lo­cated to the Mon­tello area.   Pam worked sev­eral jobs through­out her life. She en­joyed her time help­ing chil­dren as an aide in the Hori­con area and the time she spent work­ing at Lake Ar­row­head Camp­ground on Lake Puck­away. Pam loved to be cre­ative. She had the abil­ity to make some­thing beau­ti­ful out of noth­ing. Pam en­joyed doing any­thing artis­tic, but loved draw­ing and wa­ter­color paint­ing most of all. She is known for her col­or­ful flow­ers and shar­ing her love of art with every­one around her.    Pam found the most joy in spend­ing time with her fam­ily; talk­ing and laugh­ing to­gether around the kitchen table, tak­ing golf­cart rides, an­tiquing, mak­ing funny videos with her grand­daugh­ter, and tak­ing evening rides with her hus­band to look for deer. Pam will be re­mem­bered for her in­fec­tious laugh, her warm hugs, her big heart, and her one-lin­ers. She was a sec­ond mom to any­one who needed one, a friend to any­one that could use a long talk or a lis­ten­ing ear, and she had a nat­ural gift to make peo­ple smile.    Pam leaves be­hind her hus­band of 44 years, Dar­win; mother, Mar­i­lyn Henkel of Moun­tain; two daugh­ters, Jenny (Ron) Laack of Mon­tello and Alissa (Dan) Wit­thuhn of Fond du Lac; and three grand­chil­dren, Alexis, Seth and Kai. She is also sur­vived by two sib­lings, Chrissy (Clay) Smith and Hans (Molly) Henkel; sis­ter-in-law, Chris Henkel; grand­pups, Stella Louise and Tucker, as well as other ex­tended fam­ily mem­bers.   Pam was pre­ceded in death by her fa­ther; brother, Jeff Henkel; uncle, Franny Henkel; as well as her ma­ter­nal and pa­ter­nal grand­par­ents.   A Cel­e­bra­tion of Pamela’s Life will be held on Fri­day, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. at Craw­ford Fu­neral Home in Mon­tello.    Gre­gory R. Schmidt, 53, passed away at his home in Hori­con on Sat­ur­day, Nov. 26, 2022.    Greg was born on Sep­tem­ber 5, 1969, to Dale and Helen (Schowal­ter) Schmidt in Beaver Dam.   He grad­u­ated from Hori­con High School. He also re­ceived his de­gree from Evan­gel Col­lege in Spring­field, MO, in psy­chol­ogy and Bib­li­cal Stud­ies. Greg was a mem­ber of Elm­brook Church in Brook­field, and at­tended Chris­t­ian Life Fel­low­ship.    Greg’s re­la­tion­ship with God was some­thing that has al­ways been im­por­tant to him. At Elm­brook Church, he was a very ac­tive mem­ber hold­ing youth and adult Bible stud­ies. Greg also had a love for the great out­doors. Some of his hob­bies in­cluded camp­ing, ca­noe­ing, hik­ing, bik­ing, and pho­tog­ra­phy. Greg’s pas­sion for help­ing peo­ple showed daily at Clearview where he was a CNA for many years.    Greg will be deeply missed by his mother, Helen; his sis­ter-in-law, Teresa (John) Eisen­menger; and many rel­a­tives and friends.   Greg was pre­ceded in death by his fa­ther and his brother, Michael.    A Cel­e­bra­tion of Life ser­vice for Greg took place on Sat­ur­day, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Chris­t­ian Life Fel­low­ship in Mayville, with Pas­tor Matt Lewandowski of­fi­ci­at­ing.    Lisa A. Giese, 56, of Mayville, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at her home in Mayville.   Lisa was born the daughter of Frank and Barbara (Leibenow) Wolc on June 11, 1966.   Lisa graduated from Mayville High School in 1984.   She was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.   Lisa was previously employed at MEC and Kwik Trip.    Lisa cherished and loved her family. She held a special spot in her heart for her six grandchildren and her grandpets. Lisa was very social and enjoyed being outdoors.    Lisa is survived by her parents; her loving children, Ashley (Kevin Lentz) Giese, Michelle (Chris Wenzel) Giese, and Brandon Giese; her beautiful six grandchildren, Rylan, Aleigha, Alana, Landon, Carter, and Mya; her siblings, Tamra Wolc, Kim (Bill) Haraden, and Troy Wolc. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.    Lisa was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her brother, Scott.    A memorial service for Lisa will be held on Friday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. at St. John Ev. March 27, 1933 -No­vem­ber 23, 2022   Mar­jorie (Er­sk­ine) Junger passed away peace­fully at home on No­vem­ber 23, 2022, at the age of 89.   She was born on March 27, 1933, in Mil­wau­kee, the daugh­ter of Wal­ter and Mar­garet (Ahrens) Er­sk­ine.   She grad­u­ated from Bay View High School and went on to ob­tain her BA in Ed­u­ca­tion from Uni­ver­sity of Wis­con­sin - Mil­wau­kee. She was a mem­ber of Tri-Sigma Soror­ity.    On July 19, 1953, Marge mar­ried Eu­gene (Gene) Junger in Wash­ing­ton DC, where Gene served in the US Coast Guard. They lived a year-long hon­ey­moon, tak­ing in the sights, en­joy­ing mu­si­cal the­aters, and cel­e­brat­ing July 4th with fire­works on the White House Lawn, be­fore mov­ing back to the Mil­wau­kee area.   Marge taught sixth grade in the Mil­wau­kee Pub­lic School sys­tem. Dur­ing this time, their first child was born. The fam­ily moved to Cu­d­ahy, where she later gave birth to three other chil­dren. In 1966, they moved to Wauke­sha where they lived for over 30 years.   Marge was a long-time mem­ber of the Home­mak­ers Club of Singing Hills dur­ing this time. She was a Girl Scout leader at Bant­ing El­e­men­tary and was ac­tive in the PTA.   After her chil­dren began school, Marge was a sub­sti­tute teacher in the Wauke­sha Pub­lic Schools. She later went to work at The Grand at the Brook­field Square Mall and then be­came em­ployed for Kohl’s De­part­ment Stores. She worked at the sec­ond Kohl’s store to open, long be­fore they be­came a na­tional chain, and was a faith­ful em­ployee there for 24 years.    In 1997, Gene and Marge re­tired to Brownsville, where they spent many happy years to­gether. She was an ac­tive mem­ber of Trin­ity Methodist Church of Lomira. Marge en­joyed trav­el­ing, es­pe­cially to Jack­son­port in Door County, where she loved to visit rel­a­tives and rem­i­nisce about her sum­mers up there. She loved to crotchet - di­rect­ing the work to char­i­ta­ble causes, en­joyed craft­ing, and get­ting to­gether with fam­ily. She was an ac­tive com­mu­nity mem­ber of Brownsville for many years.    Eve­lyn Lor­raine Krug (nee Ehrhardt), 87, passed away peace­fully on No­vem­ber 22, 2022.   Eve­lyn was born on July 13, 1935, in the Town of Lomira to Mau­rice and Lav­ila Ehrhardt.   She was united in mar­riage to Don­ald Krug on Au­gust 16, 1958, at Emanuel Church, and to­gether they raised two chil­dren. Don­ald passed away on Feb­ru­ary 12, 1992.   Eve­lyn grad­u­ated from Lomira High School in 1953. She at­tended Dodge County Nor­mal School and earned a de­gree in ed­u­ca­tion. She started her ca­reer teach­ing in a one-room school­house be­fore tak­ing a break from ed­u­ca­tion to be a farmwife. Later, she spent 18 years as a para­pro­fes­sional (teacher’s aide) in the Lomira School Dis­trict.   Eve­lyn had a strong faith and was a long­time and in­volved mem­ber of Trin­ity United Methodist Church in Lomira. She was a tal­ented mu­si­cian, in­clud­ing singing alto for many years with the church choir and ear­lier in a trio with three Ehrhardt Sis­ters. She also played the sax­o­phone and ac­cor­dion. Eve­lyn had a pas­sion for pho­tog­ra­phy and travel, and she loved to com­bine the two. She en­joyed de­vot­ing time to local youth, and she was a 4-H leader of the Lomira Clover Leaves Club for nearly 50 years.   Eve­lyn loved her fam­ily dearly, and those she leaves be­hind to cher­ish her mem­ory in­clude her two chil­dren, Lori (Tim) Colleran and Steve Krug; four grand­chil­dren, Kel­lie (Bill) Jacob, Daniel Krug, Anna Krug, and Emilee (Jeff) Simon; six great-grand­chil­dren, Aiden Krug, Brady Jacob, Gra­ham Hocher, Allie Jacob, Brynn Jacob, and Ada­line Simon; sis­ters, Lois Hartwig and Lynette (George) Sher­man and brother, Robert (Janet) Ehrhardt.    Tra­cie Jane Adelmeyer, 33, passed away on Sun­day, Nov. 20, 2022.   She was born on April 12, 1989, to Mark and Dar­lene Adelmeyer in Fond du Lac.    Tra­cie grad­u­ated from Waupun High School in 2010 and since high school has been going to the Green Val­ley En­ter­prises SNAP pro­gram.   Tra­cie will be re­mem­bered by her joy­ful and free-spir­ited na­ture. Her joy­ous and some­times mis­chie­vous smile, sense of humor, sur­pris­ing sass and sweet gig­gle cap­ti­vated all those who knew her. Tra­cie would ask Mom to make her “hair pretty” every morn­ing, leav­ing the house with a bounce in her step on the way to the bus. She could often be found car­ry­ing her fa­vorite books and stuffed an­i­mals along on her many ad­ven­tures. These in­cluded camp­ing, hik­ing, bik­ing, and swim­ming with fam­ily, and car rides to “nowhere” with Dad. She loved hang­ing out and spend­ing time with her brother and sis­ters, par­tic­u­larly swing­ing and sit­ting on the porch. She was mes­mer­ized by and loved ba­bies and chil­dren, es­pe­cially her nieces and nephews.    Susan K. Milton, 74, previously of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at her home in Grafton.   Susan was born the daughter of Dr. Oliver and Hazel (Weiss) Herman on October 16, 1948.   Susan married Patrick Milton on December 26, 1970, in Allenton. They were married for 35 years.Susan attended UW-Whitewater, where she received her bachelor’s degree in teaching.   She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was also treasurer.    Susan was a devoted mother, wife, and partner. She loved traveling and spending time with loved ones. Susan enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, birdwatching, and flowers and was a member of the Nature Conservatory. She was an educator and loved teaching her students, many whom she still has active friendships with today. Although she is survived by her family, her extensive friendships span from California through Wisconsin and as far away as Mexico and Turkey. Susan was a truly amazing woman. Susan will follow the path the Lord God has set for her in eternity and is joined with loved ones we have already paid tribute to.
