LORI KREIS, DIRECTOR KEWASKUM PUBLIC LIBRARY It’s Banned Books Week October 1-8 and although I love to celebrate our freedom to read, it is sad that we still must commemorate this event because attempted acts of censorship are on the rise. This year, the theme is “Let Freedom Read” as this year the focus is to draw national attention to censorship and the harm it causes.
