Eleanor E. Haack


Eleanor “Nory” E. Haack, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born on November 14, 1933, in the Town of Auburn, the daughter of Harry and Vera (nee Haushalter) Odekirk. Eleanor was a graduate of Campbellsport High School. On August 27, 1955, she was united in marriage to Martin E. Haack at St. John’s Lutheran Church in New Fane. They farmed together in the Town of Auburn. Eleanor enjoyed fishing, quilting, crocheting, camping, and woodworking. She was a member of the New Fane Kettle Riders and was a great people watcher. Most important to Eleanor was the time she spent with family. Eleanor is survived by her sons, Henry Haack and Daryl (Marcie) Haack; grandchildren, Holly (Lucas) Reindl, Harrison Haack, and Benjamin (fiancée Mackenzie Gilbert) Haack; great-granddaughters, Autumn and Eden Reindl; sisters, Alice Ketter and Harriet Gilligan; nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.  Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin, in 1996; son, Mark, in 2020; sister, Joyce Bowen; brother, John “Jack” Odekirk; brother-in-law, Loren Ketter; and sister-in-law, Mildred Odekirk. A funeral service will Friday, February 9, at 2 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., Campbellsport, WI 53010. Chaplain Jim Mallmann will officiate, and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the Twohig Funeral Home, Campbellsport. There will be a celebration of Eleanor’s life at a later date.
