The team and their coach, Jim Vollmer, were honored during a CHS-hosted cross country meet at Columbus Parc last week Thursday. The ‘72 state meet was held Saturday, Oct. 28, at Naga-Waukee Park in Hartland. Al Floeter ran the best time for the Cougars (13:25) on the 2.5-mile course.
