Michael “Mike” Gerlach, age 68 years, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones at his side on February 8, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital Milwaukee.

Mike was born on Au – gust 3, 1953, in West Bend to Raymond and Jeanice Gerlach (nee Michaels). He attended Kewaskum Schools and graduated from KHS in 1971. Mike worked for Superior Trucking, and in 1976 started his own trucking company with one truck, and built his fleet to 12 trucks before retiring in 2016.

Mike was united in marriage to Michelle “Mickie” Louis on October 16, 1993. Together they continued the Mike Gerlach Trucking. For fun, Mike shot trap, played pool, hunted, fished, and rode motorcycle. Winters were for traveling and to load the motorcycles into a trailer and GO to Florida, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, or wherever for a couple of weeks of fun and relaxation. Or, go cruising on any Carnival ship. Or, just drive and explore.

Those Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 28 years, Mickie; children, Corey (Joelle) Gerlach and Michele (Jason) Merlino; stepsons, Zachary Stamm and Alexander (Nicole) Stamm; grandchildren, Dakota Gerlach, Colton Gerlach, Austin Merlino, Allyssa (Brandon) Hill, Samantha Stamm, and Evelyn Lian-Stamm; and great-grand son, Cole Gerlach. Mike is further survived by brothers, Chris (Linda) Gerlach, Clint (Dee) Gerlach, and Ken (Sandy) Gerlach; and sister-in-law, Sandy Gerlach; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Gerlach, and nephew, Jerred Gerlach.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ (343 First Street – Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Pastor Sharon Stier officiating.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at Church from 12 Noon until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Froedtert Hospital Milwaukee for their care and compassion.
