Terrence William Grimes

Ter­rence William Michael Grimes, 79, passed away peace­fully on De­cem­ber 15, 2021, with his wife, Judy, by his side.
Terry was born on No­vem­ber 17, 1942, in Chicago, IL, the son of Patrick William Grimes and Inez Schmidt.
Terry was a real en­tre­pre­neur. He learned tool and die skills while in the Navy and started a tool and die fa­cil­ity in Iron Ridge, in the 1970s and also started up a tree stand com­pany.
Terry was an avid sports­man. He en­joyed snow ski­ing, hunt­ing, fish­ing, mo­tor­cy­cle rac­ing, and fly­ing his air­plane. He was a world trav­eler with a large en­gag­ing per­son­al­ity and a great joy for liv­ing. He will be greatly missed.
He has five sur­viv­ing sib­lings, Pa­tri­cia Louise Grimes, Louis Charles Grimes, Char­lene Marie Grimes, Den­nis Edwin Grimes, and Brian Frances Grimes. He has two daugh­ters, Cass Grimes and Re­becca Scharph; his son, TJ Grimes; and a step-daugh­ter, Taya. He en­joyed many grand­chil­dren.
He was pre­ceded in death by his brother, Michael Grimes.
There will be a Cel­e­bra­tion of Life for Terry on Sun­day, Jan­u­ary 23, at Mayville Golf Course on 325 S. Ger­man St. Mayville, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
