Orville “Orv” J. Jaeger, 85, of Fond du Lac, died with his family by his side, on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born on June 8, 1936, in the Town of Ashford, the son of Jerome and Anna Croell Jaeger. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force from 1955-1958, serving in the military police. Orv donated a kidney to his brother, Bud Jaeger, in 1967.

Orv established Ironsides Battery, and was the owner/operator of Fond du Lac Express from 1992 – present. He was a Scout Master from 1968 – 1974 in Fond du Lac. He was a member of Holy Family Parish – Presentation Church of North Fond du Lac, where he sang in the church choir. He belonged to the Fond du Lac Yacht Club, Eagle’s Aerie #270 and B.P.O.E. Orv enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, loved music, bowling and sponsored many softball teams. He loved spending time with his family and eating ice cream.

He is survived by his children: Diana Granger of Fountain Inn, SC, Denise McKay of Hiawassee, GA, Richard (special friend Cari) Jaeger of Forsyth, MO, Voleta (Hans) Buzhardt of Warner Robins, GA, Andrea (Bruce) Keeble of Mount Juliet, TN and James (Jenny) Jaeger of North Fond du Lac; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and his sister Delores Miller of Ladoga.

He is preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters.

Visitation: Friends called from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Presentation Catholic Church, 705 Michigan Ave, North Fond du Lac.

Service: Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Presentation Catholic Church.
