Dorothy “Dottie” Grace Schelinske (nee Keyes), age 82, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday (January 1, 2022) at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center in Plymouth.

She was born on March 23, 1939, in Milwaukee, a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth (Wilks) Keyes.

She graduated from Juneau High School in 1957. On September 5, 1959, she married Thomas Schelinske.

Dorothy was known for her amazing cooking skills. She enjoyed cooking for her family, having potlucks, and making sure the neighbors were always fed. Dorothy loved watching cooking shows and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, Thomas; two children, Lori (Scott) Konkel and Dean (Angela) Schelinske; four grandchildren, Amy (Ken) Miyamoto, Kevin (Danielle) Sparrow, Alyssa Schelinske, Kaylie (Matthew) Fiene; three great-grand – children, Jackson and Tyler Miyamoto, Lily Sparrow; twin sister, Doris (Marvin) Clemet; and sister-in-law, Susan Keyes. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas Keyes, James (Marleen) Keyes; and sisters-in- law, Janice (Walter) Gross and Thurley (Lavern) Rank.

Visitation will be held on Friday (January 7, 2022) from 10 to noon at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Private graveside services will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Dorothy’s name.
