Donald Lichtensteiger, 90, formerly of Campbellsport, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021, surrounded by his beloved family at Lakeview Assisted Living in Fond du Lac. He was born in Campbellsport on July 9, 1931, the son of Leo and Charlotte (nee Glass) Lichtensteiger. Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On October 2, 1954, Don married Mary Ann Ruplinger at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. Don worked for Twohig Furniture and Funeral Home for over 40 years doing floor covering and also as a funeral assistant. He enjoyed their summer vacations in Shawano, playing sheepshead, golfing and going to the casino.

Survivors include his sons, Steve (Janet), Dennis (Barb) and Chuck (Rhonda); grandchildren, Jodi (Seamus) Garvey, Cheri (Kevin) McCourt, Traci Lichtensteiger, Stacey (Dan) Hall, Joshua (Eileen) Lichtensteiger, Kristi (partner Raven) Weis, Mike (fiancé Kali) Lichtensteiger, Allie Jo (Mike) Hauptli, Drew (Amanda) Lichtensteiger, Ashley (Josh) Blatz and Tom (Amber) Lichtensteiger; 30 great-grandchildren; sister, Amatta Keller; sister-in-law, Audrey Ruplinger; brother-in-law, Don Kuehl; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Ann, on September 1, 2020; son, Thomas; brother, Ed (June) Lichtensteiger; sister, Shirley Kuehl; in-laws, Kilian and Mary Ruplinger; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ray Keller, Ralph and Florence Ruplinger, Leander Ruplinger, John and Edna Ruplinger, Cordell and Arnold Amerling, Viola and Wilmer Kudek, Bernice and Frank Fleischman, Helen and Elroy Zettler and Madeline and Leo Zehren.

Visitation was held Monday, November 15, starting at 10 a.m. until time of Mass at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St., Campbellsport.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, November 15, at 12 noon. Rev. Mark Jones officiated and burial followed in St. Matthews Cemetery with Military Honors.
