Leona (Ona) Mattson entered her eternal glorious home on September 20, 2021.

She was born September 30, 1936, to Adolph and Agnes (Adelmeyer) Scheberl.

Leona was a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother, but most importantly she was the daughter of the most high God.

God gave her a love for music and led her into a ministry of singing. She had a heart for that one that needed a smile or a conversation, and many times go out of her way to talk to someone. Leona had a love for the elderly and would sing in many nursing homes.

She wrote many songs and had produced six albums, one of which was for children. Her legacy will live on in her music.

Her family was very high priority, and she was always there for them.

Leona married Willard Mattson on December, 17 1955, and will be joining him in glory.

She is, and always will be very well loved.

She was known around town to bake cookies for many, and she crocheted towels every year and donated them to the Mayville food pantry. Earlier in her life, she also volunteered her time to the panty.

She will be remembered and truly missed by all.

Leona is leaving behind this earthly world until she sees them again, four children, Penny (Larry) Kempfer of Mayville, Jamie (Jay) Wilson of Mills River, NC, Guy (Nadeane) Mattson of Mayville, and Monte (Mary Beth) Mattson of Iola; also very close friend Merlin Tamminga of Horicon; sisters, Lila May (Lee) Grabow of Benson AZ, Lola (Lloyd) Lechner of Kekoskee, Linda (Butch) Yaktus of Mayville and Luann Rader of Gurnee, IL.

Leona wass blessed with six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-greatgrandchildren; other relatives and friends.
