Christine M. Zehren, 72, of St. Kilian passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
She was born in the Town of Ashford on October 15, 1948, the daughter of Clarence “Pat” and Tillie (Pierret) Jaeger. On July 2, 1966, Chris married Mathias J. Thelen at St. Martin’s Church in Ashford. Math preceded her in death on August 13, 1987. Chris married Kenneth L. “Dingles” Zehren on April 6, 1991, at St. Martin’s Church.
She worked at Kerry Ingredients in Jackson for five years and at the West Bend Company also for five years. She was a member of the American Legion Post #347 Auxiliary. Chris enjoyed playing cards, gardening, her flower beds and watching the Packers and other sports; but most of all she loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and spending time with them.
Survivors include her husband, Ken “Dingles”; sons, Mathias G. (Julie) Thelen and Patrick Thelen; step-children, Stacey Loof, Stephany (Adam) Hettwer and Marcey (Nick) Laudolff; grandchildren, Michaela, Hannah and Jon Thelen, Brianna, Hailley, Autumn and Jayce Loof, Natalie, Ajay, Mason and Tamra Hettwer and Brandon and Nicole Laudolff; siblings, Sister Carol Jaeger, SSSF, Gerald (Barbara) Jaeger and Claudia (Neil) Strassman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom and Diane Zehren, Elaine and Charlie Ertl, Linda Zehren, Myra Zehren, Lizzie Weiland, Delores Spradau and Ruth Lehner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Along with her first husband, Math, Chris was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tammy Thelen; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard, Larry and Gary Zehren, Eleanor and Hubert Sippel, Leander Weiland, Gilbert Lehner, Jim Heisler and Eldon Spradau.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Sunday, September 19, at 4 p.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Chapel in St. Kilian (N189 County Road W, Campbellsport). Rev. Neil Zinthefer officiate and burial was in St. Martin’s Cemetery in Ashford. Friends and family called at the church before Mass starting at 12 Noon.
The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope for their wonderful care of Chris during her final months.
