Jerold J. ‘Jerry’ Grosso

Jerold J. “Jerry” Grosso, 88, of Theresa, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at Prairie Ridge in Beaver Dam, surrounded by his loving family.Jerry was born on April 25, 1933, in Milwaukee, the son of the late Bernard and Johanna (nee Vigo) Grosso.On April 30, 1953, Jerry enlisted into the U.S. Army and served his country until May 3, 1955.On October 15, 1956, he was united in marriage to Eileen A. Langdon in Waukegan, Illinois. Eileen preceded Jerry in death on May 3, 1997.Jerry was an over-the-road trucker for 35 years for United/Allied VanLines. He also worked for Schwerman Trucking as a mechanic and driver for 10 years and an employee of Best Painting, and then was selfem ployed as a painter.Jerry was a member of the Local Teamsters 200 and the VFW Post 6498 in Milwaukee. He enjoyed camping and fishing.Those Jerry leaves behind to cherish his memory include five children, Bernard “Bernie” Grosso of Milwaukee, Jeri Sharkey of Theresa, Roger Grosso of La Crosse, Jackie Goodwill of Theresa, and John Grosso (Beth Rudack) of Milwaukee; nine grandchildren, Jessica, Bernie Jr., Jason, Kaitlin, Michael, Christin (Bill), Melita, Danielle, and Hannah; ten great-grandchildren, Owen, Sasha and Noah, Paislee and Madelyn “Maddy”, Keagan and Sylius, Jackson, Jordy, and Cadence; a brother, Bill Grosso; a sisterin- law, Shirley Roby; a brother-in-law, Jim Langdon; other relatives and friends.In addition to his wife and parents, Jerry was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers; and childhood and lifelong friends, Russ and Loretta Paulke.A memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, Aug. 27, at Sheldon Cemetery (W6236-W6246 Ember Drive Westfield, WI - on Elk Road and Ember Lane in Marquette County) at 11 a.m.The Myrhum – Patten Funeral and Cremation Service has been entrusted with Jerry’s arrangements.
