Douglas “Doug” C. Kuen

Douglas “Doug” C. Kuen, 66, of Lomira passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du lac.
He was born on January 21, 1955, to Clarence and Delores (Lettau) Kuen in Waupun.
Doug graduated from Lomira High School.
On June 8, 1974, he was united in marriage to Chris Unferth at Trinity United Methodist Church in Lomira.
Doug worked as an assembler at John Deere for over 30 years until his retirement in 2016.
He loved long weekends spent at the family cottage on Legend Lake where he went boating, jet skiing and fishing. He especially enjoyed this time with his children, grandchildren, and extended family. Doug also enjoyed four-wheeling, golfing, deer hunting, cribbage and sheeps-head. He and Chris loved traveling together and visited many different states and countries over the years. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Those Doug leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Chris Kuen; two children, Todd (Kim) Kuen and Jill (Jim) Margelowsky; five grandchildren, Harlow and Monroe Kuen, and Brandon, Jared, and Stephanie Margelowsky; a sister, Nancy (Dewey) Stevens; two brothers, Gary (Judy) Kuen and Chuck (Sue) Kuen; his mother-in-law, Doreen Unferth; four sisters-in-law, Sandy (Rich) Zitlow, Tari (Ric) Bloohm, Becky (Jeff) Luedtke, and Lori (Mark) Immel; two brothers-in-law, Jeff (Elaine) Unferth and Steve (Amy) Unferth; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Don Unferth.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home, 350 Main Street, Lomira, on Thursday, Feb. 18, from 4 to 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 Highland Ave., Brownsville from 11 until 11:45 a.m.
The service for Doug will be held at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Brownsville, on Friday, Feb. 19, at 12 p.m. Rev. William Carter will officiate, and entombment will follow at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.
