Adeline “Addie” Halfmann, 82, of Woodruff, Wisconsin passed away at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Wednesday January 13, 2021. She was born in Kewaskum, WI on October 8, 1938 to Lawrence and Eleanor Ketter.
She married Charles Halfmann on November 15, 1958, celebrating 62 wonderful years together. They lived in Campbellsport, WI until they retired and moved to the Northwoods. While in Campbellsport, Addie worked at Regal Ware for 35 years, wrote a cooking column for the Fond du Lac Reporter, was a Village Board Member and was very active at St. Matthews Church.
Retired and living in the Northwoods, Addie did not slow down. She continued her writing a food column for the Lakeland Times, “Ask Addie”, handled marketing for the Marywood Spiritual Center on Trout Lake, was very active in Holy Family Catholic Church, as well as other community projects. She will be forever remembered for her love of cooking and family.
She is survived by her husband Charlie, three children Steve (Jeanne) Halfmann, Michelle (Gary) Weiland and Dave (Carla) Halfmann; six grandchildren, Jonathon (Tiffany) Halfmann, Erin (Josh) Murphy, Kelsey (Mike) Bardenwerper, Kyle (Kristin) Weiland, Ryan (Andrea) Halfmann and Jaycee Halfmann; five great grandchildren, Addie and Emma Halfmann, Skylar Murphy, Allie jo and Bryson Bardenwerper and one sister Dolores (Bill) Borth. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
