Duane Allan Whitish

Graveside Services:  Friday, Oct. 30, at 1:30 p.m.  Location:  Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Trempealeau

Duane Allan Whitish, 72, of Blair, died on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020, in the Grand View Care Center in Blair.
Duane was born on October 25, 1947, in Milwaukee to Percy and Genevieve (Blumm) Whitish. He grew up in the Milwaukee area and attended school in Germantown.
After graduation Duane enlisted in the United States Navy. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and was a Purple Heart recipient.
After his military service, Duane worked for Chrysler Outboard in Hartford.
He met and married his wife, Jean Goodenough on April 5, 1974, in West Bend. They lived in Iron Ridge until relocating to Blair in 2015.
Duane is survived by wife of 46 years, Jean; three sons, Marc Reynolds of Hartford, Jon (Laura) Reynolds of Topeka, KS, and Jayson (Lori) Reynolds of Trempealeau; five grandchildren, Danielle (Cory) Komperud and Brittany (Kevin) Thompson, both of Ettrick, Brandon (Moira) Reynolds of Hartford, Andrew (Madeline) Reynolds of Wakefield, KS, and Marisa Reynolds of Jacksonville, NC; six great-grandchildren, Charlie, Patrick, and Roland Komperud and Meredith and Jameson Thompson, all of Ettrick, and Madison Reynolds of West Bend.
In addition to his parents, Duane was preceded in death by two daughters, Kellie and Karmen; and many beloved family members and friends.
Graveside services with military rites will be conducted on Friday, Oct. 30, at 1:30 p.m. in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Trempealeau.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
