Thomas R. “Steamer” Whitty

Thomas R. “Steamer” Whitty, 63, of Mayville passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Meriter Hospital in Madison.
Thomas was born the son of Maurice J. “Morry” and Ruth E. (Haag) Whitty on October 13, 1956.
He was a graduate of Mayville High School. Tom was employed with Metalcraft of Mayville for many years.
He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.
In his earlier years, Tom enjoyed hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed golfing at the Mayville Golf Club.
Tom is survived by his aunt, Jeanette Gruenewaldt; seven cousins, Diane Gruenewaldt, Bob Gruenewaldt, Dave Gruenewaldt, Jim Haag, Eugene Haag, Connie Alho, and John Zimmel; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James.
A private graveside service will be held at St. John’s Cemetery in Mayville.
