Raymond G. Buettner, 82, of Jackson formerly of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2020 at Forest View Manor in Jackson. He was born in Milwaukee on November 29, 1937, the son of Raymond H. and Norma (Reidl) Buettner. On August 31, 1957, Ray married Ruth Stingl in Milwaukee. Ray served in the Army Reserves for 13 years and was a carpenter for Jahn and Sons Construction in Cedarburg and a member of the Carpenter Union for 35 years. He enjoyed golfing, gambling, playing cards especially cribbage and sheepshead and socializing with family and friends.
Survivors include his children Raymond (DeeAnn Jensen) Buettner Jr. of Oconomowoc, Randy (Wanda) Buettner of Campbellsport, Robert (Denice) Buettner of Kewaskum and Robin (Mike) Thompson of Campbellsport, Grandchildren Matthew Buettner, Jason Buettner, Jaden Buettner and Kevin Kaczmarek, great grandson Griffin and siblings Yvonne (Merwin) Sussman, Nancy Pohl, Fred (Sandie) Buettner, Janice (Russ) Meech and Kenneth (Lori) Buettner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth on July 8, 1991, sister Patricia Gross and brother-in-law Greg Pohl.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Paula Anderson will officiate and family burial will be at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10th at Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
