Escaped Huber Inmate Turns Himself In at Dodge County Jail

Posted

An inmate who walked away from his Huber work release privileges has turned himself in, the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Anthony J. Johnson, 31, of the Mayville and Fond du Lac areas, surrendered at the Dodge County Jail after failing to return from a work release assignment on March 14. He is no longer wanted by the sheriff’s office.
“Thank you to everyone who assisted in attempting to locate him,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Johnson, born March 30, 1995, was serving time at the Dodge County Jail with court-ordered Huber privileges, which allow certain inmates to leave the facility for work and medical appointments.
He left the jail at 7:04 a.m. March 14 for work at W7573 River Road in Oakfield. Johnson did report to work but left the facility in the afternoon in a blue 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. He was due back at the jail by 6:30 p.m.
