Lomira High School earned high national and metro-area rankings in the list of 2025-2026 Best High Schools, which U.S. News released this week. Here is the school’s updated U.S. News profile page, with details about its rankings: www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/wisconsin/districts/lomira-school-district/lomira-high-school-21677.
By earning a national ranking in the top 40%, Lomira High School achieved status as a U.S. News Best High School and gained eligibility to display a U.S. News-trademarked 2025-2026 Best High Schools award “badge.”
“Our team of teachers and staff at Lomira High School have been working in tandem for many years to really accelerate our practices and teaching methods so that our students can get the top-tier education that they deserve,” said Lomira High School Principal Deb Janke. “This is for every student, whether they choose to go onto college or tech school, the military, into the trades, or whatever they desire to do. We want to prepare them the best that we can for our future world.”
“We have a tremendously supportive community that encourages their children to take school and learning seriously, so as a village, we should be able to expect this level of excellence from our schools and our children,” said Janke. “While we love to celebrate hard work and accomplishments, an outside recognition from a nationwide publication sure does help to support and highlight the efforts and talents of our teachers and students.”
“We are proud to be able to show our community that they have invested in a terrific school, and we will never ease up on getting better and better,” said Janke. “LHS deserves this recognition, and I am just so proud that all of us, as a community of learners and supporters, are being given such a valuable shoutout.”
