HMF’s new initiative offers community members an additional way to financially support the well-being of students, teachers, and staff in their community.
Horicon Marshmen Foundation
The Horicon Marshmen Foundation (HMF) is proud to announce the launch of its newest community-driven initiative, the Coin Club, a simple and impactful way for the community to support students in the School District of Horicon, one coin at a time. Designed to make giving accessible to everyone, the program encourages people to contribute their excess change by filling specially marked piggy banks available throughout the Horicon area.
Piggy banks can be picked up at local partner locations, including Horicon Bank, ACE Hardware, and Marshland Pharmacy, as well as during Marshmen Community Coffees. Each bank features the HMF logo and instructions, along with space for donors to include their name and phone number. Once filled with coins, participants can return their banks to Horicon Bank, where tellers will deposit the funds directly into the Foundation’s account, with standard coin deposit fees waived for this initiative.
Participants will receive a deposit receipt and can continue contributing until they reach $100 in total donations, at which point they can bring their receipts to the School District of Horicon office to officially join the Coin Club. Members are recognized at multiple giving levels, including Coin Club Member ($100), Coin Club Changemaker ($500), and Coin Club Champion ($1,000), and will receive a commemorative gift, local publicity, including a photo with the Foundation board, and permanent recognition on a plaque displayed at the school.
Distinct from the Foundation’s Elite Sponsor program, the Coin Club offers a more accessible, community-wide opportunity to give, transforming spare change into purposeful educational support. The initiative reflects HMF’s ongoing mission to expand opportunities, resources, and experiences for students across the district while making philanthropy approachable for all.
