A celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5, at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville. The visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Following visitation, a short service will be held.
Charlie was born the son of Elmer and Adeline (nee Margelowsky) Kluewer on April 23, 1950, in Hartford. He attended and graduated from Oconomowoc High School.
Charlie was united in marriage to the love of his life, Wanda Becker, on August 18, 1979, in Hustisford. Together, the couple was blessed with and raised two beautiful daughters.
Charlie was employed at Menasha Corporation in Hartford as a forklift driver for 40+years. When he wasn’t working, he loved to tinker in the garage and taught his daughters everything they needed to know. Camping trips and family vacations in Wisconsin Dells were something he always looked forward to. Family was very important to Charlie, and he considered any time spent together a blessing.
Charlie loved his sweets and often went to Piggly Wiggly in search of the perfect treat. He enjoyed going for drives, not knowing his destination. There also was not a newspaper that Charlie didn’t read inside and out from front to back and then three times over! He was a character that everyone loved and will be missed deeply by all.
Charlie is missed by is wife, Wanda; daughters, Jamie (Ryan) Brandt and Brittany (Tom) Kuehneman; grandson, Mason Brandt; siblings, Marian Kluewer, Jeannette White, Ruth (Mike) Peirick, Linda (Allen) Jacobs and Diane (Mark) Beavers. He is further survived by his sweet dog, Marley; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gordon Kluewer.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and caregivers at Clearview. Their kindness and compassion shown to Charlie and his family will always be appreciated.
