The American Red Cross Blood Drive was held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at the American Legion and sponsored by Michael Baerwald-Edward Jones. Their thanks also go to Kwik Trip for their food donation, and American Legion for use of their facilities.
A total of 43 blood donors gave their time, whereby 37 pints of product was collected towards our goal. Because of all the generous contributors, a potential 111 lives will be saved. Since there continues to be an “urgent shortage” of blood due to recent disasters, they are grateful to everyone who took the time from their day and donated.
Those who could not give at this site are urged to please take the time to donate blood in an area nearest you. Walk-ins are allowed as well. Please remember to call and cancel an appointment if you cannot attend, if possible, as it allows another donor to fill that vacancy.

The next scheduled American Red Cross Blood Drive for those eligible will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026 at the American Legion on South Main Street in Mayville.
