Jeanette Lange

Jeanette Lange

Jeanette Lange, 68, passed away at her home in Sun Prairie on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Jenny was a funny, smart, and fierce woman who faced a long illness with grace and grit.  She found joy in the small things, like hiding packs of Goldfish crackers for her grandsons to find, and proudly displaying all of Adam, Jake, and Sean’s artwork.  She was a good listener, a calming presence, and a tireless advocate for others. Her mobility was limited in her later years, but she kept up with family via Facebook and played Scrabble online. She loved finding prayers for special occasions, and her enduring faith was an inspiration to those around her.  She spoke her mind, often unfiltered, and developed an inexplicable penchant for horror movies. She liked to paint flowers; cheer on the Badgers, Brewers, and Packers; and travel up north with her husband Randy. She adored Randy; they shared a wry sense of humor, and Jenny often said she was lucky to have married such a good cook.  Her sisters remember her as a whipsmart, beautiful, and headstrong child, beloved by teachers and relatives alike. To her nieces and nephews, she was playful and a bit mischievous — she was game to help the kids play pranks on other relatives and always had fun knick-knacks the kids could play with. Jenny was born in Beaver Dam on August 1, 1951, and graduated from Lowell Reeseville High School. She studied Early Childhood and Special Education at UW–Whitewater, where she met Randy. She had an illustrious and meaningful career in special education that included working as a teacher and building statewide programs that remain in place to this day. She received a Certificate of Special Recognition from U.S. Senator Russ Feingold for her work, and every year her alma mater awards a scholarship in her name. She lives on in her family, particularly her daughter Katie, who inherited her mother’s determination, loyalty, and commitment to family and community. Jenny is survived by her husband Randy, daughter, Katie (Luke) Voss; grandsons, Adam, Jake, and Sean; brother, David (Beth Kamrath) Neuberger; sisters, Suzette Renwick, Christine (Leroy) Kirchberg, and Annette (Dr. David) Ringdahl; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene “Ooch” and Gladys (Fehling) Neuberger; her sister, Michelle Neuberger; brother-in-law, Dr. Richard Renwick; and her sister-in-law, Susan Neuberger. Donations in Jenny’s memory can be made to Jenny Lange scholarship fund at UW–Whitewater. Lorraine Marie Small

Lorraine Marie Small

Visitation:  Friday, March 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  Service: Friday, March 6, at 12 p.m.  Location:  St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mayville Lorraine Marie (Rauch) Small entered eternal life on February 28, 2020, at her home in Mayville. Lorraine was born to George and Mary (Novohradsky) Rauch on March 11, 1928, in Milwaukee. She was baptized on March 25, 1928. Lorraine became a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis in 1946. She taught in Chicago and Milwaukee at elementary, secondary and college schools until she left the community in 1972. She was always grateful for those years of opportunity, challenges, and friendships that became the foundation of her spiritual and academic life. In 1973, she began a fifteen-year term of teaching at Waukesha County Technical College. She married Harlan Small in 1977 and grieved his death in 1986. Two years later she retired from teaching and joined her good friend, Lois Seiberlich, as a volunteer with the Little Sisters of the Poor at St. Anne’s Home for the Elderly in Milwaukee. Those next fifteen years deepened her appreciation and love for the elderly who shared their friendship with Lois and her. In 2005, Lorraine and Lois moved from Milwaukee to Horicon, where they again widened their circle of friends and neighbors. They became members of St. Mary’s Parish in Mayville, which became for them, with Father Tom Biersack and the many wonderful people of the parish, such a beautiful family community and so enriched their spiritual life. In February of 2019, Lorraine and Lois moved to Mayville. As Lorraine’s health was failing, she joined Marquardt Hospice (Watertown) at her home in April of 2019. We can’t express our gratitude to everyone involved with Lorraine (and Lois) for their love, care, support and bonding; with our special love and gratitude to Shari and Barb, whom we so treasure. In the twelve days of her dying process, Lorraine gave us the most beautiful gift: her strong desire and readiness to go to God, giving us a beautiful example of dying in peace, love, self-surrender, and trust in Jesus. She will continue praying for all of us. She leaves behind her dear brother-in-law, John Wegener; her dear step-son, Jeff (Cecile) Small and their children, Andrew and Christina; her dear nieces and nephews, Roxie, Randy, Caryn, Jeff, and their families; as well as many dear friends. She is also survived by Lois Seiberlich with whom she has shared not only a faithful friendship, but also a mutually supportive spiritual journey, rock-solid for fifty-four years. Also our dear friend Jessie. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan Small; two sisters, Virginia (John) Lippold and Phyllis Wegener; and nephew, David DeSpears. Lorraine’s dear friends and family will hold a visitation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial for Lorraine will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 6, at St. Mary’s Catholic Parish (112 S. German St. – Mayville, WI 53050) with Father Tom Biersack officiating. Entombment will be Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield. Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville or to Marquardt Hospice in Watertown. Myrhum-Patten Funeral & Cremation Service has been entrusted with Lorraine’s arrangements. Additional information and guest book may be found at www.myrhum-patten.com.

Barbara Seiler

Barbara Seiler

Barbara Seiler, 69, of Beaver Dam, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. Barbara Marie (Cramer) Seiler was born October 21, 1950, in Beaver Dam, the daughter of George and Florence Cramer.  She grew up on the family farm with 13 siblings in rural Juneau. She graduated from Juneau High School in 1968. Barb truly believed in hard work, working 38 years for TAB Products in Mayville, and often working side jobs to keep her big boys fed. Even after retirement, her greatest joy was cleaning her nephew Chris’s vet clinic in Reeseville with her sister and niece. She spent her winters patiently waiting for Willow Mill Campsite to open up in spring so she could spend months with her friends and family out at her camper, especially when her granddaughters would have extended stays. Barb would literally do anything for her family, and her loyalty knew no bounds. Barb is survived by her two sons, Joshua (Megan) Maas of Horicon and Eric (Nicki) Maas of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Jillian, Evania, and Laytin Krueger; six sisters, Carol Genz of Appleton, Audrey (George) Goesch of The Villages, FL, Sharon (Bob) Haase, Karen (Dan) Banes and Susan (Charles) Kelm of Beaver Dam and Sandra (Gordon) Arneson of Juneau; two brothers, Richard (Patti) Cramer of Juneau and Alan (Jean) Cramer of Waukesha.  She is further survived by sister-in-laws, Marge Cramer of Mayville and Lois Cramer of Beaver Dam; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bob, Mike and Tom Cramer; two sisters, Judy Koczka and Pat Cramer; along with several in-laws, nephews and nieces. A Celebration of Life for family and friends of Barb will be scheduled at a later date. There are so many people to thank that helped Barb in her battle with cancer. Her sons would like to first thank Aunt Sharon, because without your quick thinking and bulldog intensity, we would have had two less years with mom, and we know that. Thank you to everyone who took turns with us driving her anywhere she needed to get for chemo or radiation. Thank you to our aunts, uncles, and cousins who spent so much time with mom. Thank you so much to the amazing care from Hillside Hospice and Hillside Manor; lots of people came in and out and you went above and beyond. We also know everything Marquardt Hospice did for us behind the scenes as well - thank you so much. If desired, memorials in Barb’s name may be directed to Hillside Hospice or Marquardt Hospice. Memorials are not necessary, but please look into the wonderful things that hospice does for our loved ones at the end of their journey. Mom went in the most comfortable and humane way possible thanks to a talented hospice team of nurses, a chaplain, massage therapist and others. Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam is honored to be serving the family.
