David G. Feucht, 80, of Eagar, AZ, formerly of Mayville, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2021, at home. His wife Christine was with him. David was born in Fond du Lac, to Alexander and Veronica (Pionkoske) Feucht on November 20, 1940. He graduated from Mayville High School in 1959. He earned Green Beret status in the U.S. Army during the 1960s. He received a bachelor’s degree from Oshkosh State University and a graduate degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He worked in several jobs over the years. These included work as a mechanic, teamster, teacher, lumber company worker and finally with the United States Forest Service. Dave was a kind, generous, smart and private man who thought of others before himself. Dave married Christine Hussli in 1969. They spent most of their married life together in Idaho and Arizona. He is survived by his wife, Chris; siblings, Alex (Kuan) Feucht of Henderson, NV, Jean (Art) Schwarze of Lexington, NE and Geri (Tim Bachhuber) Feucht of Mayville; brother-in-law, Dennis (Janet) Hussli of Mayville; many nieces, nephews and cousins and his aunt, Izzy Guse of Lomira. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Vernie and his brother, Bill Feucht, all of Mayville. He was also preceded by his parents-in-law, Andy and Anne (Schnaderbeck) Hussli of Mayville and sister- and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Bob Brandl of Ripon. No funeral or memorial services are scheduled.

Marie (Schultz) Buchta: Daughter, Sister, Niece, Aunt, Student, Bride, Wife, Church Member, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Widow, 90, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend. Marie was born the daughter of Charles and Clara (Reinel) Schultz on March 9, 1930, in Jefferson County. She graduated from Jefferson High School with the honor being Valedictorian of the class of 1948. Marie was united in marriage to Harvey Buchta in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jefferson, Wisconsin on June 18, 1948. The two enjoyed 64 plus years of marriage until Harvey’s death in 2014. She was a faithful member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville, where she served her congregation as a Sunday School teacher, parent-teacher member, and the past president and member of the Dorcas Society. She was also a member of the Bible Class Family. She had been employed at many different jobs over the years including, Marie’s Mini Mart and the Village Flower Shoppe in Kekoskee. She was also known as the ‘Welcome Wagon Lady’ in Mayville and broadcasted on WBEV radio from her home for many years. In her spare time, Marie loved playing cards and games with the family. She loved word games on the computer and she always had a jigsaw puzzle going. She had stacks of books by her chair and she was always ready for an excursion. She did everything with a sharp mind and a radiant smile. Faith and family were important to Marie and she cherished the time spent with them and encouraged them along their journey in faith. Marie is survived by her children, Jim (Jane) Buchta of Fort Atkinson, Dan (Lois) Buchta of Mayville, Jeff (Gail) Buchta of Ixonia, Kathleen (Peter) Tomasulo of Phoenix, AZ, Barb (Robert) Haessly of Mayville,, and Mike Buchta of Dousman; her grandchildren, Bill (Rhona) Buchta, Chris (Kimberly) Buchta, Abram (Jen) Buchta, Kelsey (Jason) Tighe, Bob Buchta, Don (Nicole) Buchta, Tammy (Randy) Teitz, Tim (Heidi) Buchta, Michelle (Jon) Butzine, Anna Tomasulo, Joe Tomasulo, Sam Tomasulo, Adam (Angelia) Schultz, Laethan Schultz, Jack Buchta and Natalie Buchta; 19 amazing great-grandchildren;further survived by other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harvey; grandson, Dane Buchta; great-grandson, Anderson Butzine; her sister, Hazel Biederman; and brothers, Ralph and Dean Schultz. A visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, at the St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. A funeral service for Marie was held on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 1 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Dr. Mark G. Cutler officiating. Burial took place at St. John Cemetery in Mayville. Simon (nee Michaels), 82, of Lomira passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at Sage Meadows Assisted Living in Fond du Lac. Barb was born in Fond du Lac on March 12, 1938, the daughter of the late Guy and Vernice Michaels (nee Jesse). She graduated from Lomira High School in 1956. Barb was united in marriage to Donald Simon on December 10, 1983. She worked for 37 years at Regal Ware until her retirement in 2000. Barb was an active member of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post #347 and loved all her time supporting the Legion. Barb and Don enjoyed traveling-especially to Branson, MO where she enjoyed listening to Country Music. She was a member of Country Club Western Dancers. Barb enjoyed baking and decorating cakes. Barb was a very social person and loved entertaining family and friends at her home. She enjoyed many hours playing Cribbage with Don and had a card club of close friends. She was an active member of TOPS and loved water aerobics at the Tag Center. She enjoyed all the friends she had made over the years. Her last year was spent at Sage Meadows Assisted Living where she made wonderful new friends and received loving care. Her family is forever grateful. Above all else, she cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up. Barb was delighted when she recently became a great-grandma. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her two children, Stephen Stalker and Carla (Larry) Luedtke; two grandchildren, Kalee (Mitchel) Buss and Mathew Luedtke; great-grandson, Hudson Buss; and brother, Lawrence (Joanne) Michaels of Fond du Lac. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and brothers, William and James Michaels; sister, Kathryn (William) Schultz; and former husband, Marlyn Stalker. Zachary David Krapfl, 25, of Denver, CO, passed away on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, at his home. Zach was born on August 3, 1995, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to David and Laura (Galle) Krapfl. He grew up in the LeRoy and West Bend areas. Zach shared a love of construction and remodeling houses with his brother and enjoyed fishing, baseball and music. Zach was a sweet and kind young man who suffered from an addiction that took him too early. His struggle is over and he is finally at peace. Zach is survived by his parents, Laura (Edward Mandel) Galle of Port Washington and David (Dottie “Deter” Andaloro) Krapfl of Allenton; brothers, Ryan (Amethyst) Krapfl of Fond du Lac, Jake (Marah Kaufman) Krapfl of Denver, CO, and sister, Elizabeth Krapfl of Vandalia, IL; nephews, Jacoby, Leon, and Bennett. He is further survived by his paternal grandmother, Margaret Krapfl; aunts and uncles, Jodi Roberts, Joe (Trish) Harrington, Jill (Darris) Wasmund, Becky Krapfl, Kristi (Tim) Brewer, Bill (Janell) Krapfl, Matt (Jaime) Krapfl, Maria (Joe) Allen, Michael (Karen Spencer) Galle, and Melissa (Jason) Hutter; special cousins, Abbygail and Owen Krapfl, and numerous other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Arthur Krapfl; and maternal grandparents, Linda and Gary Lefeber. Gary E. Bogenschneider of Mercer, passed on to his heavenly home on February 19, 2021, from Parkinson’s Disease. He was born in Fond du Lac, on July 1, 1944, the son of Elmer and Agnes (Benter) Bogenschneider and grew up in Mayville. He went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Engineering in January 1967. He served in the US Army 1967 to 1969. Gary was united in marriage to Kathryn (Kit) Taplick on June 18, 1966. He worked as a professional civil engineer and construction project manager. His hobbies included fishing, bird hunting, camping, canoeing, baking bread, reading, and eating pie! He was active with the Friends of the Mercer Public Library. He served his Lutheran Church homes as Congregational Chairman, Elder, and kids’ Bible Class teacher. He is survived by his wife; his son, Tim (Heidi); granddaughters, Joclyn (Joseph Rhoades) and Lisa; three great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ron (Carolyn). Gene “Geno” Korth, 66, of Iron Ridge passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, at his home with his loving wife by his side. Gene was born the son of Fred and Gertrude (Hagert) Korth on January 5, 1955, in Milwaukee. He was married to Diane L. Koepsell on July 13, 1985, at St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church in Horicon. Gene retired from Associate Engineering in Hustisford. Gene was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Browns Corner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. He was a member of the Sinissippi Trail Hawks Snowmobile Club and the Horicon Marsh Snowmobile Club. Gene also enjoyed camping at Castle Rock County Park in Adams. Renoda Louise (Budahn) Dogs was born February 19, 1940, in the Town of Theresa. She was the daughter of Martin and Recella (Justman) Budahn. She was received into the kingdom of God by holy baptism on March 10, 1940, at Zion Lutheran Church, Theresa, by the Reverend Herman Cares. She was confirmed in the faith on March 29, 1953, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hartford. Her confirmation verse gave her comfort throughout her life: And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose - Romans 8:28. On July 25, 1959, Renoda was united in marriage to Clifford E. Dogs in a ceremony conducted by the Reverend Walter Reinemann at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hartford. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Cliff and Renoda ran a dairy farm together in the Town of Theresa for much of their married life. Renoda also worked for several doctors and dentists in Theresa and Hartford. She enjoyed greeting patients, arranging schedules, organizing the offices and assisting as needed. Renoda was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving on the Altar Guild and in the Trinity Ladies Society. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, gardening, crocheting, and lovingly spent time taking care of her husband and family. Renoda and Cliff spent 21 winters at their second home in North Fort Meyers, FL, vacationing with friends and family. Renoda was thankful to be able to move into her new home in December, which enabled her to stay at home with her family until she passed away, following her long battle with cancer.
