Gayle Ce­cilia Bosch, wife, mother and grand­mother, was wel­comed into eter­nal life on Jan­u­ary 2, 2022, with her chil­dren by her side.   Gayle was the youngest of three chil­dren and born to Ce­cilia and Ivo Her­ber in Mil­wau­kee, on De­cem­ber 3, 1933. She at­tended St. Anne Grade School and grad­u­ated from Di­vine Sav­ior High School in 1952. She at­tended one year of school at Alverno Col­lege in the music pro­gram be­fore work­ing full time at Kohl’s Food Store.    Gayle met the love of her life, Ed­ward, while both were work­ing at Kohl’s. They had a courtship full of laughs and friends be­fore mar­ry­ing in 1955. They im­me­di­ately moved to Mayville to seek bet­ter vo­ca­tional op­por­tu­ni­ties. While Gayle hoped it would be a tem­po­rary move, she came to love the small town, raised five chil­dren, and they made it their home the re­main­der of their lives.    While Gayle was rais­ing her fam­ily, she also joined Ed in start­ing his con­struc­tion busi­ness and was re­spon­si­ble for the ac­count­ing of the busi­ness until Dad’s re­tire­ment. As her chil­dren en­tered school, she started work­ing at Ser­vice Print be­fore be­com­ing sec­re­tary at St. Mary’s El­e­men­tary School from which she would re­tire. Her love of music and de­sire to share with oth­ers, nat­u­rally led her to be­com­ing in­volved with the music pro­gram at St. Mary’s, even­tu­ally cre­at­ing beau­ti­ful mu­si­cals and con­certs with the chil­dren. She ac­com­pa­nied and led sev­eral church choirs and played organ dur­ing mass for many years. She was often sought out for fu­ner­als, wed­dings, and solo en­sem­ble con­tests, al­ways en­joy­ing the op­por­tu­nity to share in the love of cre­at­ing music. Gayle was hap­pi­est when she was in­volved with music!   Gayle was ex­tremely ac­tive in her re­tire­ment. She could be seen play­ing the organ on Sun­days in church, call­ing Bingo, vol­un­teer­ing at the Amer­i­can Le­gion along­side Ed­ward, ex­er­cis­ing at the TAG Cen­ter and spend­ing time with fam­ily and friends. She and Ed trav­eled every year and they par­tic­u­larly en­joyed the his­tory of the East Coast. Gayle was de­voted to fam­ily and was often sur­rounded by those who loved her most. She had a close re­la­tion­ship with her grand­chil­dren and was for­tu­nate to have seen them grow into adult­hood and start their own fam­i­lies.    If you knew Gayle, you have ex­pe­ri­enced her in­fec­tious laugh and wit! She loved to tell a good story and it was a joy to wit­ness her en­joy­ment of re­liv­ing the ex­pe­ri­ences. Gayle was a tes­ta­ment to strength and re­silience! She raised strong, in­de­pen­dent daugh­ters, and com­pas­sion­ate and de­voted sons, and this will carry on through her grand­chil­dren and gen­er­a­tions to come.    We love you and will miss you for­ever.  Gayle is sur­vived by sons, An­thony (Gia) and John (Joy); daugh­ters, Kath­leen (Terry) Brum­mond, Theresa (Daniel) Knaus and Mary (John) O’Neil; sis­ter-in-law, Sis­ter Mar­garet Bosch; 12 grand­chil­dren; four step-grand­chil­dren; and 21 great-grand­chil­dren.   She was greeted in heaven by her hus­band of 65 years, par­ents, broth­ers John and Ivan, and her beloved grand­son, Peter Brum­mond.    A Mass of Chris­t­ian Bur­ial will be held on Fri­day, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Bier­sack pre­sid­ing.   A vis­i­ta­tion will be held on Fri­day, Jan. 7, from 12 noon until the time of the ser­vice at 2 p.m. at the church.  June “Tootie” Er­ick­son (nee Wal­len­der), 92, of Brownsville was called home to be with the Lord on Sat­ur­day, Jan. 1, 2022, with her fam­ily by her side.   She was born on June 6, 1929, to the late William and Bertha (nee Salz­mann) Wal­len­der.   She was united in mar­riage to her high school sweet­heart, Mor­ris Er­ick­son, on May 14, 1949, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac.   June was a mem­ber of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church for many years.   June loved gar­den­ing, cook­ing, read­ing, word­ searches, and mak­ing crafts. To­gether her and Morry en­joyed fish­ing in Birch­wood, WI.    Darwin A. Tesch, 86, of Beaver Dam and formerly of Horicon, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Beaver Dam Memory Care.   Darwin was born the son of Edwin and Dorothy (Schwantes) Tesch on May 19, 1935, and was raised in the Town of Clyman.   He was married to Lois Jean Schmidt on September 29, 1962, at Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon.   After marriage, they moved to Beaver Dam and became members of St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam.   After working 30 years at John Deere Horicon Works, Darwin retired in 1996. He was also employed with Pure Milk Assn. – Dairyland in Juneau for 13 years.   Darwin enjoyed deer hunting and bowling in his earlier years. Later he collected farm toy tractors and machinery. He and Lois enjoyed many trips up north.   Darwin leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Lois, of Beaver Dam; his sisters, Wonda Tesch and Delores Tesch, both of Watertown; his brother, Delmar (Lois) Tesch of DeForest; his nephews, Rick Tesch of Horicon, Michael (Laura) Tesch of St. Louis, MO, Ryan (Madeleine) Tesch of New Orleans, LA, and Andrew Tesch of DeForest.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; his brother, Arville (Marlene) Tesch; and niece, Sandra Tesch.   A visitation will be held at St. Stephen’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Thursday, Jan. 6, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Paul Stratman will officiate.    Macullen Michael Schnell, 23, passed away Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, with his family by his side at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.    Macullen was born on April 23, 1998, in Sheboygan to Michael and Mardell (Guse) Schnell.   He attended grade school at Kiel Elementary and Kiel Middle School and attended Kiel High School where he participated in football, basketball, and baseball. Macullen played the drums in the high school band, jazz band and drums and guitar in the Kiel Waves of Rhythm. Macullen also acted in some of the musicals and was student director. He also played drums in a pit band for a community musical. He participated in Robotics and the Archery Club. Macullen graduated in 2016 with honors, he then attended Lakeshore Technical College in the Criminal Justice Program and academy. He graduated with honors in 2018, receiving an associate degree and finishing the academy.   Macullen started his career with Road America working in security, which he enjoyed during his time at the track.  Macullen was then hired on as a part-time police officer for the New Holstein Police Department in 2018 as well. Since being with the department, he has received extra training including C.R.I.M.E 123 Interview and Interrogation Technique, Rescue Task Force (RTF), and Advanced Road Side Impairment Detection to list a few. He was also one of the advisors for the New Holstein/Kiel cadet program. Macullen had an interest in law enforcement when the New Holstein/Kiel cadet program first started. Even while he was on medical leave, he participated in Shop with a Cop where he enjoyed interacting with the children.   He enjoyed the outdoors that included hunting, hiking, camping, four-wheeling, and fishing. Macullen liked to spend time with his dog, Dusty, and enjoyed get togethers with family. Together with his family, he had fun going to Milwaulkee Bucks and Brewer games and traveling to a different state every year from the time he was born and on every trip they did a lot of miniature golfing which was his favorite thing to do. He looked forward to days spent driving and riding in the family’s ’64 Chevelle and ’71 Pontiac Ventura and going to car shows. Macullen also looked forward to regular golfing with his friends. He participated in the St. Peter’s UCC church band.   Macullen is survived by his parents, Mike and Mardell Schnell; sister and brother-in-law, Mikayla and Fernando Alvarez; and grandparents, Richard and Dorothy Schnell of Kiel and Betty Guse of Oak Creek. He is further survived by uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many special friends.   He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Roman Guse and aunt, Cheryl Guse.   Funeral services for Macullen will be held on Saturday, Jan. 8, at 12 p.m. at St. Peter’s UCC (424 Fremont Street, Kiel). Officiating at the service will be Rev. James McKenzie with a private family burial at a later date.    The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday, Jan. 7, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m.; the visitation will continue on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. when brief family rites will be held.    Doris Irma Kerr passed away on December 27, 2021, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.   Doris was born on August 27, 1931, in the Town of Burnett, to Elkert and Irma (Klemp) Maaske. She was a graduate of Horicon High School with the class of 1949.   Doris was united in marriage to Lawrence F. Bogenschneider on October 18, 1949.  He preceded her in death on February 12, 1971. On December 8, 1974, she was united in marriage to Russell Kerr at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon.   Doris was a lifetime member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church.   She loved working on her flower gardens, going to rummage sales, reading, working on jig saw puzzles, volunteering at Bethesda Lutheran Store in Horicon, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her eleven great-grandchildren. Doris retired from John Deere Horicon Works after 25 years of service.   Doris is survived by Steven (Luann) Bogenschneider of Horicon, Dale (Tania) Bogenschneider of Charlotte, NC, Larry (Nancy) Bogenschneider of Mayville and stepson, Dennis Kerr of Horicon; her grandchildren, Andrea (Evan) Merkes, Tyler (Hollie) Bogenschneider, Jay (Katelyn) Bogenschneider, Shana (Brandon) Ward, Krista Bogenschneider, Corey (Blythe Rowe) Bogenschneider and eleven great-grandchildren; two nieces, Dianne Witte and Debbie (Terry) Bauer.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lawrence Bogenschneider; her second husband, Russell Kerr; a sister, Eileen Witte; and brother-in-law, Harvey Witte of Burnett.   Visitation was held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Horicon, on Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.   A funeral service began at 11 a.m. with the Rev.  Daniel J.    Sheila Krueger, of Pickerel, died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2021, at home. She was 66 years old.   She was born on September 4, 1955, in Waupun, a daughter of Elmer and Myra (Adelmeyer) Steger.   She married Norman Krueger on November 16, 1974, at St. John Lutheran Church in Mayville. He survives.   She was a graduate of Lomira High School in 1973.   She was employed at West Bend Company as an assembly worker.   Sheila and her family moved to Pickerel in 1986. She was a hard working individual who worked in housekeeping at local resorts, followed by employment at Bemis Manufacturing in Laona, Seidl Farms, Polar Manufacturing and retiring from Waste Management in 2008.   She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Pickerel.   She took pride caring for her yard and flower gardening.   Survivors including her husband are a daughter, Nicole (Terry) Kubiaczyk, Deerbrook; a son, Eric Krueger, Pickerel; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Alexzander; a sister, Gail (Rich) Christian, Theresa; and her husband's siblings, Myron (Kathy) Krueger, Marilyn (Donald) Kertscher, Lois (Rick) Gundrum, Darlene (Jer) Luehring.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three favorite dogs, Suzy, Max, Ruby Sue.A funeral service was held on Friday, Dec. 31, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Pickerel with Rev.
