Virginia Mae Renner

Virginia Mae Renner, 90, of Mayville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living.
Virginia was born September 28, 1931, in the Town of Dakota in Waushara County. She was the daughter of Allie and Lillian (Miller) Draves.
She married Robert Renner on September 25, 1955, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wautoma by the late Rev. Otto G Renner.
After the wedding, they moved to the Horicon/Mayville area. Virginia was employed by Dr. Helmbrecht’s office as a receptionist for 10 years.
She enjoyed bowling on a mixed couples league. Virginia also enjoyed gardening. She was a faithful member of St John’s Mayville and was involved with Ladies Altar Guild and volunteered many hours at church and school. She was blessed with one daughter and one adopted son.
Virginia is survived by her son, Christopher (Sandy) Renner of New London; her grandchildren, Devon, Darrian, and Iris; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; especially her best friend, Inez Pilsner, who was so faithful in visiting her to the end.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ann; husband, Robert; brothers, Harold and Donald; and sisters, Mildred Draves, Betty Renner, and Joyce Hildebrand.
Funeral service for Virginia were held on Thursday, July 7, at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with Rev. Joshua Frazee officiating. Visitation was held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at St. John Cemetery Browns Corner.
Special thanks to all the ladies and gentlemen at Prairie Ridge who took great care of Virginia these past 3 years. Also special thanks to hospice for their great work!
Memorials in memory of Virginia may be directed to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville.
